While the 2020 school year was a disaster for everyone, including us, we have had 2 children graduate McDavid Jones and 1 is starting 1st grade. Covid ruined many kids schooling last year and I will mark it as a one off. We have loved every teacher.They all care about the kids. Bullying isn't any issue there. Some of these ratings on this site is based on CRT and woke nonsense. Including ratings on racial progress? You are kidding me right? The kids don't see race until sites like this and parents at home start spouting nonsense. That aside, I have had 2 straight A students leave this school , as well as my now 7 year old first grader. Who made A/B's. If you are basing your children's school choice on this site, you are missing everything the school has to offer. McDavid Jones is full of loving caring teachers that actually care. The same can't be said for many schools these days. Class size is small as well . We love our Wildcats!

I'm looking to send my children elsewhere due to the lack of teaching and leadership of this school. My children have the desire to learn but, no one seems to care. There is always an issue and never any resolution. My children have poor grades and there seems to be no concern except from myself to better that situation. My children don't have a behavioral problem, they don't get into trouble. What happened to caring about children's education because these schools in Citronelle certainly do not display any of that.
