Absolutely love this school especially compared to semmes and mgm. It was a big selling point in buying our first home. I've only had issues with one teacher but i was not the only one. However the entire staff have been wonderful. From The office ladies, nurse and teachers, they have always been polite and professional. My oldest loves his advanced classes and all his teachers and my youngest absolutely LOVES his teacher who's made his first year very awesome. The teachers we've had have been very informative, patient and empathetic with a lot of the things going on in our lives. Even if we buy a new house, i will not move out of the Turner district or pay transfer fees and drive them everyday.

I have had 2 children go from kindergarten to 5th grade at Turner Elementary and it has been the best experience I could ask for. The teachers care, the principal is involved, it is safe and it’s given them such a strong foundation to continue to build on.

I have been at this school for 6 years now with my children. This has been a wonderful school until this year. The principal has come into a school that was great and turned it upside down. She has taken teachers out of there rooms and had "meetings" with them and the teachers come back to class crying. I have been up to the school on different occasions and not once did I see the principal, but when I did she did not even talk to any of the parents. We want our school back. We want our teachers to stay. The children are the ones that will be suffering if this principal is allowed to stay.

My son has been attending this school since Kindergarten, he is now going into the third grade. We LOVED that school until the recent principal came along. We've never had a problem and now all we hear is turmoil. The teachers are being bullied by the principal, 20+ teachers are being fired/transferred. All we get from MCPSS is the run around and no answers to why this is happening. Martha Peek held a "parent meeting" but didn't listen or care to ask our concerns or opinions. .

My granddaughter attends J.E. Turner Elementary School. She is treated fair and is taught with respect. Each grade for her is a challenge in a good way, as it should be. The challenge to learn more and more. To teach young children with kindness and humor but yet straightforward is a gift. This being said there are great teachers and wonderful leadership at this school. They seem so dedicated in teaching the children in a way that it seems fun to learn. At this point I have no dissatisfaction in J.E. Turner Elementary. Thank you for being there for our children. We appreciate you! Best Regards

I have grandchild in J E Turner now and the teachers are very patient with the students. I volunteer once in a while and can see the progress of the students every time I go.

I have two children at this school; a son in 4th grade and a daughter in Kindergarden. They absolutely love this school and so do I! My son is in the special education program which is the absolute best! I just couldn't ask for the teachers and administrators to be more helpful and caring. This is just a wonderful, wonderful school in every way!
