Being a parent of two SGS Graduates, I can’t stress enough the Outstanding, Academic Curriculum that St. Gertrude School implements at every Grade Level. Both of my children have excelled in high school and it’s clear that they were prepared well at St. Gertrude School for the academic rigor of a College Prep High School. Master Teachers live at St. Gertrude School!I highly recommend St. Gertrude School!

St. Gertrude School is a gem. The mission of the school is authentically Catholic, rooted in the Church's intellectual and moral tradition. That may children are being formed by Dominican Sisters and Friars, along with all of the dedicated, professional, and wonderful lay teachers is such a blessing.

This school environment is unlike any other. The academic curriculum is top notch and more importantly, the teachers help prepare my children spiritually, ethically, and socially. Even though living a virtuous life starts in the home, St. Gertrude provides a supportive environment that fosters high moral and intellectual standards. The class sizes are small, which enables a more personal approach. They see the child as a whole person, honing in on their strengths and refining their weaknesses. It's also nice to be surrounded by parents with like-minded goals.

Our children have attended St. Gertrude School for four years. The school is terrific! The teachers and administration care for each student and keep constant communication with the parents. The school provides Catholic families the opportunity to have a relationship with Jesus while living a life of charity and virtue. Our children benefit every day from the standard of academic excellence.

It is such a blessing having my daughters enrolled in St. Gertrude School. This is our first year in the school, and we couldn't have had a better welcoming reception. All my concerns regarding affordability, special education needs, and education of moral values were fully addressed by the school staff from the principal to teachers, and everyone else in the school community. SGS prepares your children to effectively do what is right and good in the world through academic excellence. This goal is embedded in a deep Catholic environment, providing the students, families, staff, and faculty with a special communion of people willing to praise God by fulfilling their role in education. I couldn't be any happier!!

My family and I are new to St. Gertrude School and we could not be happier with our choice of school for our son! Administration, teachers, and families have been very welcoming and my son absolutely loves second grade! Communication with families, a supportive learning environment, and high standards/expectations are just a few of the highlights surrounding St. Gertrude School. We appreciate the clear and shared focus, as well as the exceptional school leadership, family involvement, and all-around positive/loving environment! There is no other place we would feel confident entrusting our kids for 8 hours each day than at St. Gertrude School. The Dominican sisters have fostered a loving environment where my children frequently encounter Jesus and learn to be more like Him. The teachers make Christ present in every aspect of the school and throughout their entire curriculum. We couldn't be happier with the Literature our children are reading, the math program, and the incredible sacramental prep to name a few. We feel very blessed to be a part of this amazing school family.

My kids (5 of whom have already or are now attending SGS) had been to 2 Catholic schools (in other cities) before we moved to Cincinnati and found St Gertrude. Immediately my kids said “everyone is so much nicer here!” We have found that having the amazing, loving leadership of Dominican sisters has made a HUGE difference in the quality of the education. There’s so much love in the school! My kids also absolutely love that the school has chickens the kids help care for/collect eggs. They love when the Dominican brothers help teach a lesson. They love that they have an older “buddy” in the school and also “families” of kids of different grades who get together periodically. They feel seen and heard and are thriving. When my son hit 9th grade this year and changed to public school he felt extremely well prepared (“this is so easy!”). Parents are very involved in the school and church. There are plenty of sports opportunities as well with football, basketball, volleyball, track, and wrestling. We are so happy with our choice!

St. Gertrude School (SGS) is a phenomenal school with excellent teachers and staff. We cannot express how much St. Gertrude School and the school community means to our family. We have been a part of St. Gertrude School for 13 consecutive years with all six of our children attending grades K-8. We live in a good school district where the schools have great academics, but we choose to send our children to St. Gertrude School. SGS not only offers outstanding academics, but also a catholic formation that cannot be matched anywhere else in Cincinnati. The Dominican presence is amazing. Nowhere else in Cincinnati are there Dominican Sisters teaching and serving as principal.The teachers are amazing and passionate about teaching. They support your child in every aspect of school life whether it’s intellectually, spiritually or physically. They have created an atmosphere here that is welcoming and inviting. Our children have been challenged academically and supported and loved emotionally.At St. Gertrude School it’s not just about outstanding academics. It is about the whole child. It’s about the mind, body and soul that permeates every aspect of this community.We love St. Gertrude School and continue to see the results in our college student, high school student and four children that are still thriving and enjoying SGS! We have been a part of St. Gertrude School for the past 4 years. The school has exceeded our expectations with human (virtue living), spiritual (religious formation) and academic excellence. The school is full of faith filled families that have their children and family life as their first priority. You can see this in the joy and stability of the students. I am so grateful to have a community where I know I can trust the families of my children's friends. The Dominican sisters do an exceptional job at teaching the faith and keeping Christ present in the school. My son (4th grade) often comments how the Sisters make school fun. They are so joyful!! And to be surrounded by so many Sisters, Priests, and brothers (studying for the priesthood) is truly what it is to experience heaven on earth. Lastly, we have been very impressed with the academic formation. Students rise to the level of expectation and St. Gertrude gently leads children in that direction.

There is no value we could place on what St. Gertrude School means to our family. Many schools offer strong academic instruction, and St. Gertrude is no exception. However, it is strong Catholic identity that truly puts St. Gertrude in a league of its own. At St. Gertrude, our children are surrounded by Dominican sisters, priests, and novices (men in formation) - all of whom are helping us form them in faith and virtue. There are very few elementary schools in the entire country able to provide such an opportunity! These dedicated religious, along with a exceptional and dedicated lay faculty, feel like true partners in the education of our children. We have countless examples of the love, personalized outreach, and inspiration they have provided. We are grateful to be part of the St. Gertrude community and do not believe there is a better choice for Catholic education in the greater Cincinnati area. You must visit - you'll understand the moment you walk inside!

We thank God every day that we found St. Gertrude School! The community here has blessed our entire family with lifelong friendships - children and parents alike! The Dominican presence makes a REAL difference - the sisters enhance the academic and faith life of the entire campus. Virtue building is infused in every subject and the teachers are WONDERFUL! St. Gertrude is a wonderful place to be. My children love their teachers, their school and their classmates. As a parent, my goal was to find a school that was academically strong while keeping faith a focus. St. Gertrude goes above and beyond this!! I was concerned that a private school might not have supports for my daughter that has delayed speech and language skills, but they have supported her above and beyond anything I could have imagined. St. Gertrude is strong academically, but that’s not all! They tie the Catholic faith into everything they do. The teachers have a love for God, education and the students and this makes all the difference. I am beyond thankful for this school and this community- it is a real treasure.

Our children are blessed to attend here! The curriculum implemented encourages creative thinking, problem solving, and innovation. The outdoor classroom is unique and gives the students the opportunities for hands on learning.

St. Gertrude has been a wonderful place for us to educate our children. We will have 3 in the school next year with 2 more behind. We have been impressed with the academics and are very comforted to know that our children are part of a community that shares our Catholic values and faith. It makes it easier for us to impart our Catholic values when the children are surrounded by so much joy and love, which is fundamental. There's just so much to love about this very special community.

We transferred our girls to St. Gertrude for the 2017-18 school year, and I could not be any happier with our decision!! At St. Gertrude our girls are receiving an authentic Catholic education, and I absolutely love it!!

My four children have all graduated from St Gertrude with open hearts and strong moral values. And, yes, additionally, they were academically prepared to excel in high school (St X and Ursuline). I am very proud to have chosen St Gertrude for my most precious children!

Although there are many good public school choices surrounding SGS, as a gradute of SGS I can't imagine sending my children anywhere else. SGS has a long tradition of strong catholic faith formation, superior academics, and offers many activities including; sports, chior, music, theatre, and the school has its own chapel! SGS is an amzing place with dedicated teachers and supportive parents. If you are looking for an environnment to prepare your children to be successful in the class room and in their spiritual journey there is no better place than SGS.
