Can handle children with only mild special needs. There is always no clear communication with parents about strategies used at school even after multiple reminders. They are quick to catch behavior issues and report them to parents, again no clear answers as to how they handle at school. Never got a BIP requested in my son’s IEP. Good thing is the teachers are kind and accepting. Academic course content is very light. Never got home any decent worksheets until last few weeks of school. Never got progress reports on IEP goals. When asked, I was directed to the autism scholarship website about the time of leaving the school.Teachers (OT, Speech and Intervention specialist, behavioral therapist) never really spoke or emailed about child’s progress until they asked us to look for another school for my kid. The school does not have enough resources to give extra attention to kids with more than mild needs. Your child will be assessed and will be given admission only if they are verbal and have minimal sensory, behavior or speech issues. My son was assessed and got the admission and about half way through we were asked to look for schools outside as my sons needs were identified to be more intense than they thought during assessment and they don’t have the resource to help him. Luckily we got admission in our district’s public school but it was a shock and huge stress for us when they asked us to move to another school around February.

Linden Grove is a top notch school for children with special needs. The staff are truly dedicated to the students and the teacher student ratio is low.
