This review applies to the Pre-K program. The teacher is new and inexperienced. They are ill equipped to handle a Pre-K program. Unless your child is a robot, they do not know how to handle a child with personality, curiosity, or active (like what most children ages 3-5 should be). They are always constantly calling us over small incidents and we’ve had to pick up our child several times. They also keep wanting to schedule a face to face, and once we are able to make time, they suggest our child needed an ‘evaluation’. When we look over their own assessment of our child, we couldn’t disagree more. They claim our child is not capable of so many different tasks, but we see her do them all the time outside of school. These people think they are qualified child psychologists with PHDs, when in reality the only qualification the teacher has is bible school and she has a lot of little siblings. The moment that reaffirmed our skepticism of this school and their feedback on our child came when we found out a friends child, and also our friend’s friends child, all received similar comments and suggestions to get their children to get evaluated also. Stay far away from here unless your kid is a robot. They even went as far as isolating our child on a daily basis, which is counter to the whole reason we are sending her there (to socialize and play with her peers). We’ve since pulled our child away from this school and enrolled at another. She is thriving and I constantly ask the new teachers for updates and they’ve had no complaints. My child would even say ‘thank you daddy for sending me to new school’.

We have lived in the South Side of Chicago for over 10 years and finding a good school for our children had initially been a challenge -- particularly when one has to weigh all the usual considerations of academic strength, good teacher:student ratio, nurturing learning environment as well as tuition costs/affordability. But we believe we found what we are looking for in Pui Tak Christian School. Teachers are very dedicated and we can tell that all of them come with a sense of calling to give their utmost to their students. As someone who works at the University of Chicago, I had the opportunity to send our kids to the University of Chicago Lab School, and even turned down opportunities to send our kids to the CPS gifted/Selective Enrollment schools. We are very satisfied with the education our children has been receiving at Pui Tak Christian School and so far have sent all four of our children to this school. And more importantly, my children all have developed a love of learning at this school. My only wish is for them to develop a committed donor base that will help them build a larger facility!

I'll try to keep our story concise. Our daughter was attending a highly-acclaimed Montessori pres-school, and while great for many kids, the self-guided approach was not right for our daughter. She is now in her 2nd year at Pui Tak, and she is really thriving in an environment where it is very obvious the entire staff really cares, and provides very engaged guidance. Our daughter's social confidence and academic interest has grown a lot, and the ultimate measure of an education's success is that she loves to learn!

I enrolled my children at Pui Tak Christian school, and found that it was worth every penny. My children are all academically challenged, all performing above grade level, and they are even learning Mandarin. Class sizes are small and my children love going to school. All of the teachers and even the principal are caring and are very attentive and organized. I even went and had my children tested this past year for the CPS gifted schools just to see what would happen, and they all were accepted to the CPS gifted schools. I did not transfer them to any of the CPS gifted schools because I know my children are challenged and will succeed further at Pui Tak Christian school. The school also has a great and affordable before and after school care program.

This school is great. The caring teacher and staff offers great environment for young kids to grow. I send two of my children here and would absolutely recommend this school. The quality education and afterschool enrichment programs made this small school outstanding. They even have homework club where kids can finish their homework under a teacher's supervision. Kids different age quietly doing their homework together is pretty amazing to me. After that they can play at their gym until 5:30pm. I would never worry about their safty. Plus, I never been fined for just a few minutes late. And I am able to enjoy reading with them at night without worry about their homework.

Pui Tak Christian School is a great school. The are expanding to 8th grade. All grades exceed National test standards instead of the low Illinois standards. Small class rooms sizes with loving teachers and staff. They help every child grown spiritually, emotionally and intellectually.
