This school has progressively deteriorated for the last few years. Past and current interim principal are just not good at handling education. Some teachers bully the children and other adults and looks for scapegoats in some students. This school needs a complete overhaul and rehiring of all teachers. Only a handful of teachers should be allowed to teach kids and most importantly, get good administration!

Subs and other teachers are so disrespectful towards students, students are taught to be respectful towards adults because “adults are always right” some teachers do care and are good teachers but not all most are really bad but I mainly blame Dr. Chapain he choose the cheapest learning curriculum students don’t even learn anything! and the administrators are always so disrespectful towards students, they yell for no reason and have no respect to any of the children, some monitors in recess are so disrespectful towards students too they are on their phones, some teachers only teach when they are being observed, bullying is a big problem in this school teachers do not care about your child’s learning. and especially the principle many teachers complain about the principle too, he’s so uncaring doesn’t even do anything. Choose any other school except this one, as someone who’s being to multiple different schools this school was just horrible I wanted to move so bad.

Absolute Disaster for my Kindergartner. Horribly disorganized school and absolutely no communication. If you have a special needs child , I definitely do not recommend this school .

I've had a very good experience at Prussing as a parent with a child that was struggling to read.

Excited for the new $24 million annex and renovation in 2018. This will help the with classroom overcrowding as the neighborhood attracts more families.

My children went here for a few years and we eventually transferred to a different school suburbs. When we arrived in the suburbs, my children were below grade level in reading and math. I was told they were above average and on level by their teachers at Prussing.

Prussing is an amazing school to be apart of in any aspect. The administration and teachers are hands on and they are always are so welcoming. Dr. Chipain is the best principal for Prussing. His involvement and connection to each and every person at school always inspires. Ms. Kapica knows what it takes to keep a school strong and keep it's students on track. They are an amazing team and truly know and care for all the students, families and our wonderful staff. The office clerks are dedicated to Prussing and it shows daily. I have so much appreciation for our lunch team, custodians, and security as well. The community is constantly thriving and growing week by week at Prussing. With tons of activities and support at this marvelous school, I am a very proud parent and supporter. PRUSSING PRIDE!

Dr Chipain is the new Principal at Prussing Elementary. As a first time mother at Prussing (my son is in firstgrade), I am really looking forward to the positive contributions that we trust Dr. Chipain will bring to this community. My son has so far adjusted well, though it's still too early to tell. I can appreciate the diversity in the classrooms and like that the environment at Prussing is not like your "typical" public school in the sense that at Prussing, you can see many families make an effort to be involved in their child's academic career. I also like that Prussing has strict rules about dress code, make-up and overall attire. With that being said, I have seen a boy or two with longer hairstyles that I do not think are appropriate in any grammar school setting; but this really falls on the parents.Parents: There's absolutely nothing cute about making your child look like a little street kid. Seriously, you want respect? Then look respectable. Other than that, kids seem like they come from caring and loving households with the same goal in mind: a good quality education.Back to the new principal, I like that he is very personable and really makes an effort to interact with students and families. I am very confident in his ability to lead the school in the right direction. His past experience at a top performing magnet school will help build on the overall academic performance at Prussing. There are already plans to initiate an after school program and we are looking forward to great things ahead. I am overall satisfied with the school and staff. Another plus, the ladies at the front desk are delightful and efficient. When I first inquired about the school, being that my son was a transfer student from a small school; the lady at the front desk (sorry ,can't think of her name), was very helpful and patient and answered all my questions/concerns. It's nice to see the pride that people take in their jobs. Prussing is a top rated school with dedicated staff and I firmly believe that it will continue to trend in the right direction.

i really like the school and the teachers are great.the staff in the office is very nice to the students to> but my one concern is the vice princibal and the princibal. They are always looking for ways to get the kids in trouble.Ever since we got a new vice princibal two years ago there have been thousands of detentions and suspentions. She and the princible need to be replaced.
