As a parent of multiple children that have attended this school I have to be honest. The school is run down and has cockroaches running throughout the building with teachers tell kids to not talk about it. Although there are a few teachers that are good most are rude and act immature. The principal is nice but has a bit of an attitude while the assistant principal (who is also the Spanish teacher) is remarkably rude and has a horrible attitude towards her students and parents. I wouldn't recommend this school unless you are desperate. The bombard you with unnecessary fees and the financial aid is minimal. Best wishes to parents and kids who are involved with the school.

I am a former student (graduated in 1982), a future parent (son will attend in 5 years) and a current member of the board of directors. I have been involved with Luther for many years. It does not cease to amaze me how a great school can get even better. As I visit the school for meetings, games and events and come into contact with the staff and students the kindness, community and spirit offered to me is overwhelming. The students embrace my son and he so looks up to them...in fact he seeks a few of them out every time we visit the school. The sportsmanship exhibited at the events...Luther has been on a winning streak, however whether they win or lose these kids are helpful and gracious. It is this type of environment I want my son to experience, and it is these types of students is who I want me son to become. Luther is a school to be experience.

Luther North College Prep is not a great school. For the money you are paying for your child to get an education there is not worth it. The place is rundown and shabby. It is sad for me to say this but it is true the school has become a disgrace. My child attended school there in '91 and it was great but ever since new principles and assistant principles came in it has become horrible. My grandchild now goes there and comes home everyday complaining how he wants to transfer because teachers are mean. One teacher in particular that he complains about is Ms. Rzadzki and may I say from meeting her she is very fake and rude. She believes she is always right and is a bad teacher! Do not send your child here! Not worth the money or your child being deprived of a good education.

My son's learning and social experience at Luther North has been spectacular. The teachers know every student and their families. As a parent, i know that I can call at any time and have my questions answered quickly and effectively. The principal cares about his students and encourages them to strive toward excellence. The teachers are there for the students and it shows in their dedication. The counselors work directly with each student. They guide the students toward the a variety of post high school venues, giving a multitude of college options to fit each student's situation. I cannot think of a better learning environment for my child and I am thankful each day that he attends such a student-driven high school.

Luther North College Prep is a truly amazing school. Everyone who works for the school from principal to teachers to staff members cares about your child's success! Parents are heard and kids are helped. I could not have asked for a better situation for my son, who is a freshman, and am looking forward to my daughter joining him there in 2 years. Thank you Luther North for all that you do and all that you are. If you are looking for a great high school Luther North College Prep is it!

I have had 1 child graduate and 2 are currently enrolled. The children are getting a great Lutheran education while experiencing all that High School can offer. The quality of a child's education is by far determined by the students in the school and the students at Luther North are motivated spiritual and intellectual and have been a blessing to my children.

[My school is ...]is a wonderful place focused on not only academics but strong Christin principles. As a graduates of Luther -- we are so pleased and grateful that our children can now too be able to experience the high level of academic standards; as well as, continuing their Christian character building at a place like Luther North. There is no doubt in our minds as parents that they will receive these life-long skills in academics, character and faith at Luther North You can feel the difference when you come into Luther it is not like other places it is special where people know you and care about all of you not just the academics but the whole person -- your character, your faith, your future and the person you are and will become. There are wonderful opportunities to grow and learn. It will stay in your heart for a lifetime. It is my hope and confidence that that will be the case for our children as they now enter this new challenging phase of their young lives. I think if you choose Luther you will not be disappointed

Living in Chicago, the quest for a well performing school is daunting. Seventh Grade was a difficult year, filled with anxious days reviewing the limited education options. Then we discovered Luther North College Prep and it all fell into place. With the newly instituted Academy Program, the Honors and AP classes, Luther North is a true prep for college. As an upper classman, the option to take Dual Credit courses at Wright College means that not only are you earning credits towards high school, you are earning college credits!!Imagine, graduating high school with a year or two of college already completed. Think about the financial benefits! Besides offering a rigorous academic program, Luther North has a well established sports program and a variety of clubs and extra curricular activities ranging from the Arts to Academics to Athletics. Lastly, Luther North offers your child a safe, Christian-based learning environment where the teaching staff KNOWS your child. It is invaluable to have an environment where the focus is on your child's individual success, academically and socially.

I am a proud alumni of Luther North College Prep. Almost every aspect of my Alma mater has prepared and lead me to become the person I am today. From small class sizes to incredible extra curricular activities, Luther North was not only a school, but a home. The bonds I was able to form with classmates and teachers was something not any average school could offer. At Luther North College Prep every single member of the faculty truly cares about every student that comes and goes. Teachers are dedicated, passionate, and personable. Many people find a home within some part of Luther North. Although Luther North has made many changes since I've been there, it is only for the greater good for current and future wildcats. Along with that, nothing will ever change the values that Luther North has instilled in me and many other young adults. Thankfully, I can look back on my high school experience with a light heart and a warm nostalgia. Luther North helped me grow as a student and as a person, and I couldn't be more blessed to call Luther North College Prep my Alma mater, and a place that was once my second home.

I am a proud parent of a Junior who loves her school. The Administrators are awesome as well as the teachers. They believe in their students, are very supportive of the parents and students, and are willing to assist in any way necessary. This is a great school!

Luther North provides a great learning environment for it's students. While I would LOVE to see this school enrollment grow by leaps and bounds, I love the teacher/student ratio.

Not only am I a parent of a Luther North student, but I am also an alumni. This school is amazing. The education that I received there was excellent and prepared me 100% for my college years. Not only was it a place for learning, but also a place where I still feel at home. The staff and friends that I have met there I consider my family. I would recommend anyone seeking a high school for their child to without a doubt put Luther North College Prep on their list of "Do Sees." At least check out the website and maybe drop by a sporting event for a chance to experience this fantastic school.

Our daughter is a freshman and has only been at Luther North for one and a half weeks. I am impressed how they hold her accountable; for being on time, for discipline, for completing her homework on time and well. We have already had communication from teachers in how she can improve her work. We are impressed how involved the whole staff is in making sure she becomes the best person she can be. I am so glad we have found this school. They seem like the perfect fit for us.

I am a parent of a sophomore and an alumnus of the school as well. My child is doing exceptionally well. She is well liked by her teachers and they genuinely care about learning and helping students grow. The curriculum is challenging.

Luther North is more than a school, it is a family. As a parent, first and foremost I want to know that my child is in an environment where the teachers and staff are truly vested in my child's future. My child is known by each and every teacher, my child has the opportunity to be involved in anything and everything that interests him. He is receiving a quality education that will prepare him for higher education.
