I’ve had two kids attend DCM and they both enjoyed it. As a parent the staff was caring and made sure your kid was learning and successful

They could do better with communication. Paying a due to be on a PTA only to learn it was non existent was a waste of money. I’m not interested In learning about school updates through my kid and the website calendar doesn’t always have up to date info. Don’t exclude parents that work but are willing to know more and be involved.

We have been in Deep Creek for ten years. My kids have had nothing but great experiences. They love their teachers and the teachers are very engaged. I have received phone calls every year from a teacher, emails are responded to and parents are always welcomed at the schools!

Deep Creek is an excellent school. My daughter has excelled the past 2 years and enjoys the learning environment that Deep Creek provides. It has a small town community feel despite being in a larger city.

5 stars from past experience until this year. I give them 2/3 stars due to the lack of taking appropriate measures and holding the bully’s accountable for their actions. I also give a 1 star regarding the lack of empathy and knowledge most of the teachers have when working with a child who has mental health problems. Again this is not all the teachers but this year I have been very disappointed with the majority of the 7th grade teachers. I’ve seen numerous videos of certain teachers constantly yelling and talking down to the class. Some of the teachers when they reprimand a student and know the student is unhappy about it the teacher will continue saying stuff to them as if they are expecting to get a bad reaction from the student just so they can enforce more of a punishment. This never happened in the past but maybe my coincidence it seems as if hiring a lot of new staff this year that were not “Deep Creek” teachers it’s almost a lack of connecting. I have addressed my issues with the school system and I’m just hoping this current year will end very soon. I will not give up regarding the bullying though and if need be I will take appropriate action with the law regarding the students that are doing the bullying. I’d hope the school would do more and maybe they will but if not I have a zero tolerance policy for bullying and I will go over the school system to ensure my student and other students are safe.
