My daughter is in 5th grade and has been here since Kindergarten. All her teachers have been fantastic and all the stuff is kind and supportive.

My son has been in this school for 1 1/2 years. The first year was during the 2020-2021 pandemic and classes were remote. I have been quite impressed with the school. During remote learning, there were several transitions (i.e., fully remote, 3 days remote/2 in person, etc.), and the school seemed prepared for all these scenarios. My son and I were well informed about the transitions and his learning was not impacted. This year we are back in person and my son is able to get the full experience. He comes home happy and wants to go back to school. That's really the best feedback. This school has a few things that make it stand out. It is very academically focused. For example, it offers small group teaching which allows kids with different levels of learning to get more individualized attention. In our case, our math lover gets the right level of challenge. However, academics is just one cornerstone. What I love the most is the focus on building character (the habits of the heart). During Homeroom, they discuss different character traits (like kindness, generosity, flexibility, etc.) and then keep that theme throughout the month. This year, they will also have special classes once a month just on character ed. PSE is fully dedicated to partnering with parents in raising kids to be great citizens! PSE is truly the place to be!

Our family has been at PSE for the past 5 years. It's always been evident how much each of the staff care about the kids. I've never come across a specials teacher, office staff, etc. that didn't know my kids names and respond with such excitement to see them. This is a little thing, but I know if my kids are known and seen they're taken care of an invested in as well. They're continually challenged to learn and grow academically and personally. Our family is grateful for the focus on character development as well. We looked at other options when CMS went remote during the pandemic but ultimately chose to stay at PSE because of these things.

This is our 3rd year at PSE and so far, it's been great (despite all the issues with covid). The teachers, admin, and staff have all been wonderful. The PTA is very involved and an amazing group of human beings and it shows throughout the school. Principal Armbruster is a very kind, caring, and compassionate person and our kids are all lucky to have her and her staff in their lives.

My family is new to PSE, and it has been a wonderful experience so far. It's obvious that the principal and teachers care deeply about our children and their education. Despite not having as much in person contact due to COVID protocols, the teachers have gone over and beyond to communicate effectively using other methods. I'm confident that my girls will have the best opportunities here for learning and being prepared for their future education!

Providence Spring is a hidden gem! The programs, teachers, staff, and volunteers make it the most welcoming, supportive, academically challenging and fun place for the students to be! I cannot say enough positive things about it.

We have been at Providence Spring for the past 4 years and it has been amazing. It is apparent that the staff and teachers really love the students and truly enjoy their role at the school. The principal, Ms. Armbruster leads by example and has really been a strong role model for the students. And not only is the curriculum great but it is a Paideia School which means that it incorporates the Paideia Program. This program advocates that all learners practice the critical thinking, communication skills, and attitudes necessary to earn a living, be an active citizen, and pursue a meaningful life. We are extremely luck to be a part of this school and community!

Providence Spring Elementary is a top notch school with excellent leadership, teachers and staff. We have 3 students at PSE and are very pleased with the focus on learning, building character and strong relationships.

We love PSE. Both of our kids have enjoyed the past 3 years here. We moved from out of state specifically to this area in Charlotte for the public school option at PSE (a true diamond in CMS). Teachers are very supportive of their students and go above and beyond...one of our teachers dropped books off on our front porch during COVID pandemic/virtual school to help our son. The current principal, Jane Armbruster, is amazing! I think she knows every student by name in the school and takes a personal interest in their development. I think our children will be well prepared for middle school and beyond from their time at PSE.

We love PSE. Both of our kids have enjoyed the past 3-4 years there. The staff is very kind and concerned about the "whole" child. The Principal, Jane Armbruster is both compassionate and has high expectations for the kids. It's truly a public private school experience. I know that our kids will be well prepared for the next steps in their educational journey because of what they learned as PSE.

When we moved to Charlotte in 2019, we searched for homes in the PSE school district. We heard such good things about the staff and students. PSE has exceeded our expectations! Our child is thriving, happy, supported, and learning not only the core subjects, but how to be a good citizen.

Providence Spring is a fine school and most importantly, all of my children have been happy and safe in their learning environment. However, I feel there is so much room for improvement. The school simply meets the standards of what I expect from Public Education. I would encourage the teachers and leaders at this school to find their creativity in expanding the overall daily lessons. Lots of busy work for the kids when they could be engaged in a new history lesson or learning a foreign language. Would love to see this school blossom in to what it claims to be. For the most part, they take intelligent students with supportive parents and give them low scores at the beginning of the year. At the end of the year, they are all magically revealed to have the highest possible scores, and the children remain unchanged.

We love Providence Spring! It balances academic excellence by empowering every student to grow into their potential while at the same time creating a warm environment conducive to outstanding learning and focus on community. The teachers are the best we've seen at any CMS elementary school and the administration and Principal are very supportive. National Blue Ribbon School with a heart and we couldn't be happier!

I have been a parent at PSE for 7 years. Unfortunately, it suffers from too much of a good thing. A building built for 600 now houses 1000 students. The overcrowding is so bad they had to give up the computer lab to make space for more classrooms. The student/teacher ratios for 4th and 5th grade are some of the highest in the district- and the classrooms simply can't hold that many. Children have to sit in the hallways to do work, and now actually the hallways are getting too crowded. Think twice.

I moved from out of state (Delaware) at a top rated private school, and can attest that this school is as good, if not better than schools that cost $20K+ to attend. It's like a private school, in terms of parental involvement, teacher attentiveness, and academic/social prowess. I couldn't be happier!

I moved within Charlotte to allow my children to attend Providence Spring Elementary, and couldn't be happier! I currently have three children at PSE and they are challenged academically, with lots of active play outside.

From an administrative perspective on dealing situation I believe this School has a long way to go, seems it runs very high on air thinking its one of the best schools but the attitude and behavior and communication with parents needs to be improved, its not even at any level of scoring currently. Also the leadership needs to understand that all students are not same and based on their caliber the activities needs to be altered or added.

Excellent tuition, best Principal ever in Diane Adams and an overall great education experience. Fantastic PTA. My son went through this school and is now a final year Engineering student at NC State all because of Mr Grabon's math classes!

My husband and I relocated our twins here from the Philadelphia area specifically for this school, and we have not been disappointed. We have only been here for a few short months, but I know we made the right decision by sending our girls here. Every member of the faculty that I have come in contact with is friendly and genuinely interested in the well-being of my children. I am proud of what my little Rockets have accomplished here in such a short time. Thanks, PSE!
