The level of communication is subpar. Announcements are always late or given on the same day an event is taking place. The diversity of the staff is not indicative of the demographics of the students. This year during the pandemic, administration advised if your child is scheduled to be on-site and instead is remote that day. Your student will still be marked absent. That is not how others schools were doing it. Consistency and respect go a long way.

Virtual ( Online Class) are terrible, specially for a 3rd grader.. to many access codes, passwords.. links to go to..And when finally your kid got in ... a Teacher with a moronic attitude turns your kids willingness to learn into tears..No way I can accept this kind of treatment to my son..A teacher should encourage learning and grow.. Exploration further away than the classroom or screen..Not suppress our kids creativity and imagination .. specially in Arts class.I don’t speak English very good.. I don’t write even, but I do understand very well.. the cruelty and sarcasm in your tone of voice..Please don’t forget my name..Dionisio Derteano.

I cannot say enough amazing things about Polo Ridge. I feel so secure sending my babies there for most of their awake hours and I know they are loved and cared for just like how I do! It is a school will a true community feel, among students, staff, and parents. Lots of colors fill the school and each teacher takes care to have their classrooms meet their children's need. I had no idea what flexible seating or growth mindset was until my second grader taught them to me! Last year my youngest had a first year teacher, but you never would have known - she went into first grade HATING reading after a summer of me forcing it and ended the school year absolutely obsessed with books. She worked magic on my daughter! Her second grade teacher continues to encourage her now! My oldest two have flourished over the years and we will be sad to see one graduate Polo Ridge this spring. Keep doing what you do, Polo Ridge faculty...we appreciate you!

We have been very impressed with ALL the faculty and staff at Polo Ridge. The teachers are focused on helping the students grown & flourish. You can tell they take pride in their contribution to your child's education in and out of the classroom. The administration is also very focused and involved with the inner workings of each aspect. There is a large and strong network of parents who are focused on making the school experience a great one for the children. We feel very fortunate to have our son go to this great school!!!!

Wonderful school community. It is a large elementary school, but you truly don’t notice the size with the tight community feel. The teachers work very hard to meet each child where they are whether it is challenging them or working one on one or in small group to help a struggling student succeed.

We’ve been very happy with Polo Ridge as our local grade school. Our kids are being raised with other children with engaged teachers and parents from a community that values education. The great school rating appears off for some reason. Mistake.

We love this school and I"m actually surprised that it's rating is a 6! Polo Ridge has a great group of teachers and a strong administration. My children have grown quite a bit. It looks like the student progress to rate the school, which is based off of test scores. As a teacher, I would caution against that. There's so much more that is important in a school and Polo Ridge does it all well.

Excellent, principal vice and dean of students are great leaders and always available to talk with parents. Teachers are supportive of all students and help them to not just succeed but exceed my expectations. Parent involvement is big at Polo Ridge as it should be.

Polo Ridge is an excellent school. I have a son in the 3rd grade and he loves it. The Principal is always accessible and the teachers and staff are very helpful. All the teachers that my son has had have been excellent. Running this size school is no joke,. Its like running 2 elementary schools but the Principal motivates the teachers. She is always in the car pool line in the mornings. Once when my son;s bus broke down on the way home, the principal herself came and helped the kids transfer to a new bus. Thank you Polo Ridge, we love you.

The problems with this school as with all schools in Ballantyne are not within the schools' control. It is overcrowded...largely in part to its excellent reputation. CMS needs to hear from the voters in this area that we are not going to take it anymore. Let your voice be heard at the state level as that is where the $ for new schools comes from. We need more schools in this area! The principal leads this excellent staff of teachers with compassion and understanding. Thanking them at the end of a long day is her way of showing her appreciation for all they do. It has nothing to do with test scores. It is impossible to keep both staff and parents happy at the same time and she does her best to do both. In a perfect world, teachers, administration and parents should be a team that work together to ensure the best for all children. Afterall, they are the reason we are all here together.

This school continues to grow year to year. Currently 1050 are enrolled. The principal needs to get her ego in check. She is over her head at this large of a school...Parents have quickly wised up to her lack of leadership, troubleshooting and communication skills. What could be a great school simply is not. Go check out Providence Spring if you want a stellar school with a principal that knows how to lead and bring ALL her students to their potential. Sadly the Polo Ridge principal is not that. See earlier post of the constant "Thank yous".....completely disingenuous!

Polo Ridge is an amazing school. The school culture is very positive. The PTA and the principal work collaboratively to create the best learning environment for ALL students. Students thrive in that environment.

My child is now in his 4th year at Polo Ridge and I am sad to say it has continued to decline year after year. We moved to this area because of Polo Ridge when it was highly rated and now we are seriously considering on moving out. Do not take my word, just look at the rankings and you'll see for yourself. I believe the Principal is over her head and instead of trying to engage her teachers for positive results she has resorted to obsessively "Thanking" them over and over again. Broadcasting this over the intercom at the end of the day so that the whole neighborhood can hear her praises are not going to improve test scores.
