This is a FANTASTIC school. No bells and whistles. They just do their job and they do it well! Wonderfully diverse in culture! This is what elementary school is all about. The children who attend this school are prepared to take responsibility for themselves and be part of a larger community that works together to achieve their goals. I wish foreign language was an option at this school. It would be a fantastic addition to their already inspirational Music, Art and Movement & Literacy programs!

We have 2 children that have gone through McKee from K-5 and one there now. The teachers/staff care about the students’ personal and educational growth. McKee does an outstanding job preparing the students for middle school. We feel very blessed to be a part of the McKee Road Elementary community.

Teacher hardly goes through the motions. Does not have a good attitude towards many children esp when speaking one on one. Admin claims this is the best teacher at McKee Road. Disappointed to say the least. School also has A rating from the state. Education in NC needs help.

We have been with the school for four years with rising K, 2, and 4th graders and are very satisfied with the educational and social environment.

McKee is an excellent school! Have 1 child there for 3 years. Parents & the kids love this school! Great PTA and strong, caring, top teachers!

We had just one of our kids at Mckee Elementary and our experience was very frustrating. Very glad it was only one year. This school seems to be concerned only and just with their rates and percentages not very much with their students. We were fooled with all the comments and numbers we saw before deciding to whether transfer our child to Mckee Elementary or not. Very sad we did!

I have two children at McKee Road School and our experience has been wonderful. We've had great teachers and I feel that my kids are getting a great education. The teachers here all have many years of experience so our kids get the cream of the crop as far as teachers are concerned. The new principal, Mrs. Newsome is very involved and is a great new asset to the school. My kids love their school too.
