Very bad school. Teachers don't listen to you, or their favorite students and people get harassed. I would put my review below a zero and no one should come to this school.

PK-8 Murray LaSaine Montessori School - New name and Renovated School changed to Montessori in 2017 new leadership and teachers, great small public Montessori school.Very happy and only 5min walk from our house

You can put makeup on a pig but it's still a pig. This school is horrible.

Love Murray LaSaine. Lots of history here, and lots of improvement, year by year! The school is slowly transitioning to Montessori and the principal for 2016 is AWESOME. Newly renovated building, new playground, technology galore. Test scores are not the only metric! Students are happy, healthy, and loved at MLES.

We love Murray Lasaine Elementary. We have two children there, both in the Montessori program, and have had only wonderful experiences for the past two years. The teachers and staff are kind and devoted; the children are delightful, of course; and the parents are generous and involved. We love the diversity compared to other James Island schools, and we love the community feel of the school. It feels like family. The Montessori Program is fully stocked with appropriate materials, and the teachers are all entirely committed to the Montessori philosophy, so I feel confident that my children are experiencing the benefits of a true Montessori education. The school is experiencing natural growing pains as the enrollment has almost doubled, but that is all par for the course and will soon level out and in no way affects the children negatively. My children never even witness teasing, bullying, ostracizing, or any thing of the sort. They feel safe and loved by the entire community. The SAIL program for Talented and Gifted is outstanding. We're looking forward to a newly renovated building in Fall 2015!!
