Nativity School is the best kept secret in Charleston. The school and grounds are beautiful; the new entrance, offices, and gym renovation are absolutely beautiful. Our children have received a faith-based education with small classes and rigorous academics. Tutoring and other resources are available to ensure all children succeed. Tuition is manageable and financial aid is available. Our 8th grader has attended Nativity School since K4, and was just accepted into both Bishop England and Academic Magnet High Schools. We cannot say enough wonderful things about Nativity School. It will always feel like our home away from home.

We are so glad we send our children to Nativity School. The small class sizes and one-on-one attention have allowed them to grow and thrive both socially and academically. Our kindergartner is reading at a 3rd grade level and our third grader is reading at a 7th grade level. Both started Nativity in K4. They are involved in sports and other activities. We love that they are learning their faith and practicing it every day. The school focuses on building character and integrity, and practices inclusion. Nativity truly feels like a family, and we are so glad we found this amazing school upon arriving to Charleston from Colorado. Can’t imagine them attending anywhere else!

We absolutely love our Nativity school family! Both of our daughters are thriving in this wonderful environment. The girls can’t wait to go to school every day. We have watched them grow every year, truly developing a love for learning and their Catholic faith. Each teacher and staff member knows every child and their families and is truly welcoming every time we walk into the building. The staff also are very supportive of outside activities and sporting events - we all loved seeing our principal and teachers sitting the the stands cheering on the kids! We recommend this school to everyone we know because it is truly the BEST school in Charleston!

Nativity School feels like family. We've been through public schools claiming the same but the feeling just wasn't there for us. The lower wing has recently been renovated with new flooring, ceiling, roof, and HVAC. The upper wing may be a bit dated but don't let that fool you. This school has the latest computer technology and will be focussing on one-to-one for the middle school as well as STEM. There seems to be a holistic approach to teaching. Building character and good moral judgment become a good foundation from which to build. These students learn acceptance especially with the inclusion of students with different learning styles. This school has grown in diversity. If you're searching for a small, faith-based school that focuses on the whole child then Navitity School is for you.

We spent many years in the public schools on James Island. We were overall happy and the public schools on the island are very good. Having said that, we realized our youngest needed more than the public school could offer. She needed more structure, smaller classes and more individual, personal instruction. We also felt our middle school girl could benefit from uniforms- taking something like what you are going to wear to school off the table was a godsend. The confidence that she has built within herself the last 6 months that we have been part of the family has really been something amazing to watch. As a Catholic who had strayed from the faith, putting my Daughter in Nativity and getting her on track for communion has really been an additional piece of mind for me. We wish we came here sooner.

This is a wonderful school that is family focused. Nativity offers my child a safe and caring environment and encourages spiritual and academic growth. My son loves it and we are enrolling my daughter in their K-4 program.

Nativity is a wonderful school with a very nurturing environment. The small class size and excellent teachers really make a difference. My son is very happy at the school and is thriving. There is a family environment that encourages parents to be active and engaged in the school. The school teaches children to be caring stewards of the earth and to share with those who are less fortunate which helps to foster caring and compassionate children. Would highly recommend.

We have a K-5 student and couldn't be happier with Nativity School's approach to learning, the warm and nurturing environment, and outstanding and effective leadership. Their extended day program is equally awesome. We love Nativity School!

We are starting our fourth year at Nativity in 2017. We could not be happier with the school. Small classes, individual attention, dedicated teachers, administrators, and staff. Families know and help each other and the school succeed. Especially important is the expectation that the students will meet the high standards of academics and behavior. Students are not just told to behave, they are given the tools and the encouragement to be successful and expected to use them. This is a rare and valuable approach!

This school is a hidden gem for Charleston. It is a small school where kids receive individual attention with meaningful focus on spiritual development. The curriculum is sufficiently challenging and staff really knows and cares about each student individually. The best part of this school is the playground, hidden behind Folly Road. It is a 4 acre oasis complete with palm trees, live oaks, an obstacle course and nature trails. The lower school classrooms look out onto this playground and the rooms have lots of natural light. Highly recommend!

We are loving it here. Small school with a definite Catholic outlook. Great teachers who really care. Facilities are good - older building, but kept up well. A lot of special areas for students to study. All the latest technology - Smart boards & computers.
