My son has attended BSCS for 5 years, and we have only great things to say about the exceptional education and support.

I have three kids that have attended BSCS. My oldest went on to BE, my middle child is now at Academic Magnet, and my youngest is still at BSCS. The academics are excellent. My oldest transferred easily into the BE honors program, graduating in the top 10 in his class, and getting accepted at his number one, two, and third-choice schools. Going to his first choice on a full academic scholarship! I am confident his strong foundation in math and English opened up these opportunities for him. My middle child is not at AMHS and is thriving. She is excelling in all her honors and AP classes and is now recognizing just how excellent her foundations are in comparison to her peers who come from schools all over the county. My youngest is till at BSCS, and I am confident that she will have the same opportunities as my other two. So the academics are excellent. But I think they all benefited the most from the community. My son joined in middle school, and his two best friends from his first year are still his best friends. With shifts in the arts program and sports, my youngest has close friends not only in her grade but both the grades above and below her. It is a welcoming, open, and supportive environment. The academics are excellent but the community makes it unbeatable.

Our children began attending Blessed Sacrament in 2020. We now have three children there and we could not be happier. There is an overwhelming sense of community and the staff truly care about the children. The academics are far more rigorous than public school and everything is centered in Christ. The school encourages parental involvement and volunteering if you want or are able to do so. There are frequently fundraisers to support various causes and every week the children can bring a canned good to church for the local food bank. The administration is very ambitious and the school has grown so that there are two classes in each grade. It is small enough where your child is not a number, but large enough for them to form multiple friendships. There are sports, art clubs, chess clubs, and after school care is available. I would highly recommend you to check it out!

Blessed Sacrament Catholic School has been a life-changing experience for our family. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure each child’s academic and personal success. The sense of community, personalized attention, and strong communication with parents have made a huge difference in our child's growth. We’re incredibly grateful for the supportive and caring environment, and we genuinely believe this school has set our child up for future success.

Blessed Sacrament School is honestly the best school ever! My older daughter is in a 4K currently and she is getting an amazing education! She understands some Spanish got much better in gymnastics and she can even sing much better thanks to music classes! She joined BSCS last year in the middle of the year! Which wasn’t easy… but the daycare she was attending was not good enough for her! She was bored and needed structure and challenge! Blessed Sacrament Catholic School is very family oriented and seems like every teacher we worked with is very professional and has been with this school for a long time! My 3 year old is joining 3k this year and I can’t wait to see how she will thrive there! Principal Miss King knows every student by name and I can’t think of any other person who would be better for her role! Mrs King and Mrs Alvarez 3k were just incredible for my older daughter last year my younger daughter will be joining them soon! Mrs Mikell and Mrs Rhoads 4K currently taking care of my daughter! I trust them 100%Did I mention a great nurse Mrs Avis I have emailed her few times with questions and she is on point with providing quick responses! Like any other parents who cares about their kids I’m trying to keep up and do as much as I can as a parent but honestly they are all doing such a good job that I have no worries! Charleston police department is on site often which is another reason to love that school! We drop off our older daughter around 7 am and pick her up everyday around 5-530 thanks to their after hours program:-) they play hard during that time so when she gets home she easts dinner and it’s a relax time! I think I should stop with my novel here but I honestly can’t be more proud for my daughters to be in BSCS! I know school is constantly evolving and growing! Very clean and sweet! I never had a chance to attend school like that growing up so the fact that I can send my daughters here is a true blessing! My daughter didn’t get a chance yet, but they do have a great sports program as well! I mean, honestly, you can think of it they do it. You can dream about it. They have it.! I wouldn’t think too long and I would send my kids here again and again! Well needless to say I love this school. Thank you ladies and gentlemen for everything you do and keep up a good work!

If you are looking for a school that incorporates faith, has strong academics and will prep your student for high school success- this is THE place to be! Great sense of community where the teachers and administrators know your children and their needs. Great athletic program! Arguably, one of the best faith-based schools in Charleston!

We feel at home at this school. Family is valued here. We work with BSCS's staff to help our children grow spiritually and academically. They plant seeds of our Catholic faith. They personally care and want each student to do well. They are BIG supporters of STEM! You are surrounded by the most caring, prayerful and supportive community of parents and families. In my opinion, public schools are leaving out the most important “lessons” we can teach our kids. They aren’t able to equip children with the most essential tool in this life; they aren’t allowed to bring God into their day. BSCS provides a well rounded education in academics and faith. The polite mannerism and concern for all extends from administration all the way to the students. So happy and grateful to be a part of the BSCS FAMILY!

Our children are academically challenged and receiving an excellent education at BSCS. At the same time, the school encourages spiritual growth and teaches students to be caring and compassionate Christians. We have been involved with the school for the past 5 years and it has been a positive experience for our entire family. We are very proud to be apart of this school family.

My husband and I are so happy that we decided to send our children to BSS. We did a great deal of research before making the decision to send our kids there. The public schools in the Charleston area,no matter their "ranking" did not hold a candle to this school. On average most of the children at this school test 1 to 2 grades above their actual grade level if not more. I feel my children are definitely being challenge academically and spiritually. The school itself my not be the most modern of schools. After all it's a school not an architectural wonder which is what all the schools that have received makeovers look like now. BSS is providing something much more important- piece of mind. Piece of mind in knowing that no matter what my children are receiving an outstanding education!

The administration and teaching staff at Blessed Sacrament School make an excellent effort to offer a quality education to children. However, the consistent decline in enrollment has many parents concerned. Additionally, significant concern has been expressed regarding the new pastor for the church and his role as head of school. There is little room for families that fail to contribute significantly financially and zero tolerance for non-traditional families. There is also a good deal of concern regarding the schools employment of non-teaching certified individuals. The After Care Program offered is disorganized and dangerous. Adults running the program were documented as having bullied children and threatening parents. Parents have expressed their concerns about the After Care staff's lack of involvement in maintaining an enriching after school environment and concerns were disregarded. There are some wonderful alternatives that offer a Catholic education in the Charleston area. Christ Our King(which is a far superior facility to BSS) and Charleston Catholic are two alternatives to consider.

Blessed Sacrament Catholic School provides a highly competitive education to its students. Two of my children attend the school presently, and the third soon will. I, myself, am a third generation graduate. I am greatly impressed by the teach student interaction and the teach parent communication. Blessed Sacrament Catholic School goes out of its way to make sure the students know what is expected of them educationally and behaviorally. Parents are respected. They are informed weekly of what their child is working on during school hours and how to encourage the teachings at home. This year especially I have seen vast efforts in improving past complaints of parents. Their efforts are successful. Blessed Sacrament is worth every penny of tuition. There is no price for the peace of mind one acquires from the community that Blessed Sacrament Catholic School gives, promotes, and improves.

Fantastic school teachers and staff. Great program for gifted learners. Teachers actually have control of the classrooms! Children are expected to behave and act according. No dissrespectful loud obnoxious kid disrupting learning. Who knew that could happen these days?

My family moved to Charleston a few years ago from a much bigger city with excellent public education. We did our homework, similar to anyone reading this now, and chose to send our daughter to Blessed Sacrament. We are very pleased with the education our daughter is receiving! The teachers and administrative staff are very helpful, accommodating, friendly, and professional. I see that my daughter is being academically challenged and know that she will be well prepared for high school.

My children have been at Blessed Sacrament for 3 years and we have been pleased with those leading the school and the amount of parent involvement. The school is small enough to feel like a "community" (appropriate class sizes), yet large enough to have ample extracurricular activities and resources. The extended day option is a big plus for working parents - very economical and well run. ITBS scores are consistently above average compared to the nation. We feel comfortable that our children are being taken care of each day by caring teachers and staff.

Blessed Sacrament is a great school. We have been so happy to send our two children there and know that they are getting a great education as well as making life-long friendships. There is strong academic preparation and faith formation. There is great parental involvement and despite its excellence, it is still affordable!

My daughter has been attending BSS for 3 years. She has learned so much and is developing a love for learning. She has made so many friends and it still amazes me to this day how she can walk through the halls and know everyone that says hello. Not only are the kids forming bonds with each other, but the parents are too.

My children have gone to Blessed Sacrament for 6 years. It has been a wonderful school for them. The blend of academics, community service, music, sports, after school care, and religious activities has helped my children to blossom. While there are great public schools in the area we find the family, nurturing environment to be well worth the cost of tuition. We are very pleased with the school and will continue to send our children there. Having just attended the school's open house the energy and new activities planed for the year are quite exciting. Currently they are fundraising for IPads. I would encourage everyone to check it out! You won't be sorry you did!

This is a great school! We have attended this school for 4 years and I can't say enough good things about it and its also 1/3 the price of other private schools. You should consider this school for your child.

We love Blessed Sacrament School! My daughter has attended for the last 2 years and I couldn't be happier. The facility and staff are so nurturing, while still challenging her. I'm so pleased with her progress, all due to BSS. I encourage everyone to find out about this great environment.

Blessed Sacrament School (BSS) offers a quality private school education at a very reasonable tuition rate. This is our fifth year at BSS and my two children are thriving academically, spiritually and socially. All the teachers we have encountered are 100% engaged with the parents and truly committed to the students and all types of learning styles. They provide structure and encouragement and have made great strides implementing technology and forward thinking teaching methods. BSS provides a nurturing atmosphere where children feel safe as well as plenty of extra curricular opportunities and a renowned sports program. The BSS curriculum is the same as other private schools in the area that charge 3X as much tuition. We chose BSS over other private schools because of the inclusive atmosphere, consistent curriculum and quality teachers. BSS is committed to the formation of well-rounded,philanthropic young adults who will enter high school with a solid education that will be the foundation of their future success. This is a great school with wonderful, supportive, involved families. Check out BSS for yourself. You will not be disappointed.
