We are having a great experience! My son is learning, communication from core teachers, counselors and administration is great. I always know what is going on as teachers send out a weekly learning plan which helps me keep my kiddo on track. Updates to grades are frequent in the IC ap. After school activities are wonderful and part of what is keeping my son accountable for turning in all work. I do feel all his teachers care. Couldn't be more happy!

The teachers are very cranky and are annoying. But there are some that are good.

I enjoyed going to this school and the opportunities offered here. Although some teachers are cranky and expect students to understand the first time a lesson is given. All teachers I have known have been pretty nice and teach well. One math teacher was just annoying and did not teach useful content in the Algebra-1 class. Overall, CRMS is a very clean and respectable school.

The majority of administration and teachers are horrible.

The admins enforce seemingly useless rules, and inflect ridiculous punishments on anyone that violates them.

The administraion is unfair to people with learning disabilities.

Absolutely abysmal. My kids hated it and I hated it.

We have had very good experiences with the teachers and the administration. They do a great job communicating with parents and students alike.

Much better than neighboring schools at the same grade level. So far my kids have had great experiences at the schools in Castle Rock.

Unfortunately, the Admin at this school would rather have an entire pod (no joke) of 100+ kids struggling and barely getting by, than to discipline or let go of a teacher who doesn't teach, and doesn't even know the material she is supposed to be explaining to the students. Math used to be my child's favorite subject and is now the most dreaded. It's frustrating to see your child and their friends struggling, and the school doesn't make any changes to improve the situation.

Middle school is a hard time for our kids, my daughter has had fun classes, club opportunities, and felt that this was a good school. That is huge coming from her! I have had good experiences every time I needed to go in and I really like the staff.

This school has not changed at all. I don't know why the Distict refuses to give them money for change. Same boring rhetoric. It is surprising, as the high school right behind it is bright and challenging. Shouldn't this be a feeder school for the high school? Shouldn't the values be similar? The problems of bullying have not changed. It is not a safe place to put your child. The "School of Choice" methodology has failed. Wait list are long for the supposed choices we have. Can't get in...therefore, we HAVE to go to the neighborhood school, where there are no choices. How can middle schoolers win in this situation? Douglas County SD, you have failed!

Teachers are good but Castle Rock Middle School needs a new Admin. They are only concerned with their test scores and they tie their teachers hands with teaching methods that do not work.

Castle Rock schools need a cleansing. Teachers are only concerned with their reviews. Student body is a reflection of the Castle Rock town. Poor standards start at home

Teachers are excellent! They really do love and care for their students. I would recommend this school to everyone!

Could not agree anymore on the comment the parent made on feb 24 2014! Plz let's make a change for the safety and well being of all our children. Bullying, harassing and intimidation for the students who go to school to learn and respect others needs to be stopped immediately before more teen suicides or school shootings happen.

Read the papers and ask around. Castle Rock in itself has become a nightmare for school children. With the troubling number of suicides and kids that are cutting themselves, you would think that the school system would be doing everything it can to provide a safe learning environment for the kids. Think again. They do absolutely nothing. Suicides and self harming are encouraged between students and the administration and faculty are useless. The counselors are not trained for this and turn tail and run when needed the most. Its astonishing the lack of concern in this school district (Castle Rock especially). Run to a private school or another school district as fast as you can.

Teachers are great! However, we had problems with bullying that I think the administration shrugged off.

Love this school! Leadership and teachers are excellent. Very good academic content and pace. The student body is a very nice group of kids. Could not be more happier with Castle Rock Middle!
