This school is awful for being within the Plymouth-canton district. My son attended Hoben for Y5 and Kindergarten. When he went to 1st grade at another elementary within Plymouth-canton is when I was informed his reading level was far behind. Not one mention from his kindergarten teacher. The principal was pleasant, but when you have a real problem, she could honestly care less to help. The secretary is beyond rude every single day and there's rarely any communication with the teachers. Lets not even get started with the pick up and drop offs at this school! One of the ladies who manage the loop is EXTREMELY RUDE! Its very disorganized!! We moved to get out of the hoben area! BEWARE!

The secretary was very unprofessional and rude. Very distasteful when representing the school. Being a pediatric nurse I am very worried with her being around children and influencing their behaviors.

Not sure why this school is rated a 4. This is an excellent school. High spirited. The teachers are loving and caring. There is a lot of parent involvement. An overall great school.

Hoben is a warm and inviting school. They teach the kids to use whole brain thinking and how to be upstanding citizens in their community, as well as academics. Some teachers go as far as teaching basic sign language. The school has excellent protocols in place for before and after school with friendly staff members keeping families safe. I am happy my family is a Hoben school family.

Hoben, an amazing school where the dreams of nice teachers and respectful and responsible students come true. So all of you Hoben Elementary students, always have the best time you can get while you're in Hoben. The principal ACTUALLY SPENDS TIME with the students (unlike MANY principals) and the teachers are fair and square! Teachers and staff of Hoben, thank you for your support to me at Hoben and the phrase "Go with the flow: )" You have helped me so much, and please vote Hoben as an AWESOME school : )

Hoben has been a great fit for my children. The teachers implement whole brain teaching and realize kids are more than just test scores. The staff is friendly and caring. There is a great closeness among the parent group as well.

Hoben is bar far the best school my children have attaended. The principal is caring and is very attentative to all our family's needs. The teachers are wonderful as well. Nothing but positive things to say about Hoben and the staff.

I have had few problems at Hoben. The teachers and principal are very caring , (The school on the inside is very 'comfy' .) oh yeah, did i mention i use to go to this school? Hoben Elementary School is awesome! i have so many memories from this school, i cant list them all. ...And if your wondering about any negitive things about this school dont worry,i admit not perfection but definietly satisfaction.:) from a former student.

My daughter will be a 5ht grader in the Fall of 2011. She has been part of the Hoben family since the age of 3 by attending their pre-school program. Hoben has been a dream school for her and my family. The Principal, Teachers and support staff go out of their way to make each student feel special. I remember running into the Principal at the mall after my daughter completed first grade and she greeted us both by name. Hoben's ability to provide a complete education is the key to their success. By incorporating: technology, real-world skills, community programs, parent opportunities, differentiated instruction to all learners and social skills. I could not have asked or a better education to prepare her for her future!!!
