This is my son's first year in this school and the last. This school has poor staff and the principal is very rude and disrespectful. I saw reviews from this school before enrolling my son in it. Every comment that I found were really bad, but I chose to ignore them and give it a chance. Now I know what other parents felt. I suggest that if you are looking for a school for your kids, look somewhere else because this school is going to bring problems to you. This school principal should be replaced because she is NOT a good leader.

Hasty Elementary is being mis-managed . Very unprofessional staff including Principal. They are more focused on fundraising and county funding than teaching our kids. Majority of parents have received intimidating letters or emails from the principal or administration with threats of a social worker contacting you if you’re falling in line. Hasty Elementary principal picks and chooses to her liking what Cherokee county standards to enforce or modify to her benefit . I would not recommend anybody enroll their child at Hasty Elementary until a new principle is appointed and re-training of the administration is done .

This school is racist to black people. My son (who is black) has told me multiple times that other kids have called me the n-word and he also told me that he told his teacher and they did nothing about. Next, this school has to much drama. My kid I getting involved with stuff that he hasn’t been involved ever. Fights, my son tells me everything. He told me that there are a lot of fights in the bathroom and at lunch. Teachers, my son has told me that his teachers are very rude to him and the teachers make people cry.Water my son told me he saw bugs in the water Fountain which is nasty just to think about it. AS A PARENT I DONT RECOMMENDEDTHIS SCHOOL AT ALL.

Our family loves Hasty! I have grandchildren that attend this school and they love it. There are amazing teachers at Hasty and they truly do care for their students. Clubs and after school activities are great opportunities for students to participate in a sport, special talent or specific interest. Hasty is an amazing school and we are proud to be a part of Hasty Husky Nation!

I have had a great experience with every teacher, counselor, principal and office staff member. My son was at Indian Knoll previously and said he enjoys Hasty more.

I am feeling a little different about this school than 3 years ago. I like the school. Mr.Mcgruder is great! He is very helpful and seems to be very understanding. The counsler is great too. And most of the teachers here are great. I have had one run in with a teacher but the school has taken care of it. I still wished they would some other issues with this school but I guess to ask for a completely perfect school is too much lol but I would say that it's close to it. All that I ask is my kids have a good experience in school, a good education and an AWSOME teacher and this year I do have all of that for my kids. We are happy!!!!!!

Great leadership and excellent teachers! My children love going to school. I believe kids do well in school when parents stay involved and volunteer whenever possible.
