I go here (I'm in the 7th grade) and its so bad the principals worry about tiktok pages more than actually doing their jobs and it unfair you'll get in trouble for giving someone else's Snapchat to another person. The vice principal is very unfair I got in trouble because I looked at a girl she told me "they felt like I wanted to fight them" because I looked at them and Mrs Tarango is basically never here she comes ever blue moon, speaking about fights there's fights every five to six business days going from fifth to eight grade, if you don't want your kids to be hearing racial slurs towards them don't go here you hear the n word every day likes it's the word okay. People vaping and smoking is every were from in the bathroom to outside they act like they care but you only go home for two days and the teachers are okay but they can't control the kids at all like they but running out of classroom, having their phones out and cussing out teachers its so bad, some kid could rip apart their computers more than once and not pay a thing but if you have a small crack you pay 170. Nobody likes this school people are leaving left and right I know more people that went to bales and now go to jsm or west park than people who come from both of those going to bales. So please if you need a besd school pick jsm or west park not here, I'm moving to jsm in eight anyways

I can't say I would recommend this school, because we are still having some issues with my granddaughter being bullied and it still has not been resolved. But I will let you know how it turns out by next week because something will happen by then.

My oldest son was bullied 2 years in a row and the principal and vice principal did nothing even when they said they did. The bulling never stopped. He even was grabbed by the science teacher miss Thompson and yet the school or the school district did nothing. I had a meeting and several meetings at the school and it never got better. My son had a change of 4 teachers in one class in one year. He also had a teacher that would not let the class do the work on there own she would give them the answer so her class can get a good grade. My son is an IEP student and they would not support him and help him succeed, he is so far behind I don't know what I am going to do. I do know that he is NOT going back to BALES ever again. They need to get people that care about all the kids not just a few selected.

Amazing school and school district! My 3 children have been attending this school since we moved to buckeye 4 years ago! Coming from the dysart school district in El Mirage, this district is like a breath of fresh air. My daughter had a new teacher every 2 months in kindergarten while in the dysart district. All because that district does not have the funding to keep theor staff. Half their teachers are temps. Being at Bales and in the BESD, they keep their teachers, they offer so many opportunities, and extra activities for our children. This school district and school truly is like a small community, and has helped me appreciate Buckeye as home. My ex husband still lives in El Mirage, and his step kids attended the same school ours did prior to our seperation. They had so many issues they tried a better rated school in the district (Dysart Elementary). Him and his wife are again having the same issues, and have finally discovered that it is the district, not the school. They were pleased to find out the BESD will welcome their kids with open arms despite the zone variance. Our children will be so happy when they are able to attend school together at such a great school and district. Thank you to Bales, Fred Lugo, teachers, staff, the rest of BESD, and the overall buckeye community for making Buckeye feel like home.

My Daughters Teacher is amazing, administration not so much. The ladies in the front office are very nice. However we have had a bully problem since before school started. On meet the teacher night my 5 year old was hit in the face by another five year old, my daughter was standing next to me hugging my leg when this happened. Thus far the only person that has cared and tried to control the other child is her teacher. Administration keeps brushing our concerns aside. This Child has been hitting, kicking, pushing kids of the play house, poking them with sharp objects, pulling there chairs back while kids are sitting in them, among other actions. Unfortunately this my daughter has to share her wonderful teacher with this other child. My daughters teacher is the only one that seems to be truly concerned about my child. So once again, Great teachers, Bad administration.

My childrens school is absolutely amazing. The teachers and staff go above and beyond what our previous schools did. The programs are wonderful, the district keeps you informed and up to date on any changes or events that they are producing\sponsoring. The teachers are encouraging and supportive. They have kept me informed of all the progress that my children have made in just this course of the first semester. This is truly an amazing schho. Thank you Bales staff, for all that you do!

This school has made such a difference in my childrens life. Before attending this school my son found himself outside most of the groups of children. Now he comes home everyday talking baout his friend and that friend. His teacher has also stated that she has witnessed a change in his attitude and self confidence. She works with him almost daily to help nuture and strengthen his self-assurance. Thank you soo much to the Teachers and Staff at Bales Elementary.

OMG!! I cannot believe how wonderful this school is!! My children enrolled this past year in the Grades 3rd and %th and I have heard nothing but positive feedback when my kids get home. They are now excited to get up on the morning and attend the AWESOME Before School Care Program with Miss D. The activitites that she plans are interactive and encourage thier creativity. My daughter has decided to join the after school drama club and she cannot stop talking baout how much fun it is and the plays that the put on our inspirational and kid appropriate. I cannot say enough positive things regarding this school. P.S. Mr. Lugo: You Rock!!

This school is incredible. The staff the teachers the principal. Yes you Mr. Lugo. The kids here are happy and excited about there days. My children get up and look forward to spending time away from home at such a wonderful school. I cannot believe how my children have developed over just the past few months since attending this school. I am so glad that we decided upon Bales to enroll our children in. Keep up the amazing work!!

Bales School is a great place for kids! Whatever budget shortfalls there may be with any district, the teachers and administrators at Bales truly work their hardest to provide a top notch education and fun learning environment for their students. The principal, Mr. Lugo, is one of the main reasons we have kept our children at Bales. His love for his students is evident in everything he does. This is true with all of the administration and staff. You do find the normal cliques among the students that you do anywhere, but we have never had an issue with bullying and our kids have never felt "left out". There are a lot of choices for education here in Buckeye, and I have to say we wouldn't think of moving our kids out of Bales. The one area that could definitely improve is that of parent participation. But that is a personal issue, and I'm sure if more people were able to help out they would, but you can't fault a school for it's parents!

My school is awesome because teachers care about students and go far above and beyond their duties to show it. My children are learning and growing by leaps and bounds!

We moved here from out of state and had kids at Verrado for 2 years. Then we bought a home in the Bales precinct and this is our second year here. While it was initially a shock to get used to different demographics coming from Verrado, it has been a vary pleasant experience. YOU play a huge roll in your childrens learning. Be active in their rolls as students, volunteer at school (Bales needs it!) be friendly with staff! Principal Lugo has an amazing background! Ask him about it. Get to know him. comments on this forum about never meeting the principal are funny to me. Have YOU walked in and asked to meet him? I have found out that people in Arizona are friendly, but not outgoing. You have to put in effort to get response, and that is okay! Most importantly, my kids LOVE going there. I have 3 that attend. We chose to keep them there after being accepted to a charter school. Go Bales!

I kid had came to bales for kinder - 3 grade and had been behind in many subjects like math and language arts the staff had also been rude to him and yelled at him for no reason he had once been sent to the office for losing his pencil and he was in kindergarten

My children attended this school and it was an awful experience. There are a handful of teachers who are there because they want to be and it shows. The other teachers party with parents and then talk about it at school! Special needs are not dealt with, bullying is not dealt with and the principal has his way of placing a placebo on every issue you bring forth. Basically, if you advocate for your child you are not treated well at this school, you are sneered and talked about and that does not make for a healthy learning environment.
