The administration lacks. They changed teachers twice in one year. They don't take responsibility and they are very unorganized. There are too many students in one class. Teachers don't have control over the classroom. And they pass even those children who need to repeat a grade or a year. No extra curricular activity. No technology although they charge a fee for it. They use old text books. And the students at this school are not where they need to be academically. The principal is a bitter disappointment. His under staff tell him what needs to be done. He is too nice and let's them walk all over him and in return bad decisions are often made. He doesn't take responsibility for he wasn't the one who made the call. Look else where for a school. The teacher student ratio is 1:36.

Both my son and daughter attend St. Frances Cabrini. I am pleased with the family atmosphere, all teachers, the principal and staff are respectful to the children and teach them to take responsibility for their actions. The principal goes out of his way to be available whenever a concern arises. I love that they use so much technology. All children have emails and homework's and reminders are placed on Google Classroom. My kids love the different sites they use to learn such as Mathletics, Education City and Raz-kids. I highly recommend this school.

It is a great school with small class sizes. The teachers truly care and try to help the children succeed.

My child is currently at St. Frances Cabrini and has been for six years. Over the last few years, I have seen an incredible push towards using technology in education! I have not heard of any other Brooklyn Catholic school that uses Google Apps for Education like St. Frances Cabrini does. The school even offered workshops for parents to familiarize them with the Gmail accounts.The staff is extremely accommodating, often answering emails throughout the day, even late into the evening. As for the administration, I have found on many occasions that if I had a concern and I expressed it to anyone on the administrative team, it was dealt with justly and immediately.It troubles me to see comments like those below about the school and makes me question whether the people who wrote them wrote out of anger and how active the parent was within the school community.

I was a teacher at the Great St. Frances Cabrini School for 30 years. What made this school stand out as SUPERIOR was the leadership of the Principal(most notably, Miss Maria Crifasi) , as well as the support of our parents. The parents were extremely involved with the day-to-day progress of their children. The Principal, the Teachers, and the parents spoke on a weekly, if not, daily basis. Our students were lovable and academically prepared for State and Diocesan testing. I am so happy many of our graduates sen their own children to the Great SFC!!!!

Bad experience with principal. The previous principal was amazing! This new principal is very disappointing. Teachers have always been top quality. Principal should be changed ASAP before the school closes!

my kids have been here for about 6 years, it was great.... 6 years ago. The teachers have been a big disappointment the last two years. They are disconnected, insensitive and not really doing much teaching which is sad because in the my children are the ones suffering. I've reached out to the principal and so have many other concerned parents with the similar issues, in hopes of them making a change or at least re-orienting the teachers as to what's expected of them. That did not happen. I will be looking into other schools.
