When my child first attended the school, there was a very different atmosphere. By the time I made the decision to switch schools the communication was completely nonexistent. The year end field trip was to GT Bray park. Seriously I’m spending $7000 outside of what the scholarship pays for my child’s one field trip in the year to be to a playground that’s three blocks away. They hire a parents to be a teacher, and she has no formal training in child education. It’s sad to see how bad this school has become.

Awesome school! I went to school here, and now my son goes there. It's awesome if you are looking for a safe and spiritual environment. If you want your kid to come home talking and asking questions about Jesus and God, this is the place! He loves Jesus and is so curious to learn. This is aside from the fact that he has grown and learned so much since being there. Very well-structured learning, and I can confirm that through personal experience. Teachers are great, and his teacher for kindergarten, Mrs. Pearce, was amazing and actively solving problems we came across with learning curves. 10/10!!

Used to be a very good school. They pick and choose students to like and dislike.

You’d think because it was a church the school would be decent, but that’s a joke. The kids aren’t being taught anything, they seem to be on the playground more than in a classroom actually learning anything, the food is horrid, you bring anything in for your child, name on it and all and it STILL ends up “misplaced” not getting your moneys worth AT ALL with this place, you’d be better off keeping your child home and watching them yourself

Super caring staff, very responsive and I feel safe leaving my son in their care. He has excelled in so many ways since starting at Sunshine Academy.

My son started at about 6 months old in 2015. Staff was excellent director at the time terrific. At some point the daycare went downhill. They had no director during the summer of 2016 I believe. At this point things seems to be off. Very unorganized I had no idea who was in charge I seen no structure or organization: I can only name a handful of times I received receipts for payments the two years my son attended. In 2017 somehow somewhere I was told I have been behind on tuition; if I would have been told this in a fair amount of time which I believe was inaccurate but I would have been more then happy to fix the problem. I was told two years later I had a balance of a little over $1000 that the women told me was building since 2015. I was told to look over what they have and to see if I can find anything. If I'm not given recipients how is that fair. Until they get some real structure I would not recommend this daycare.

I would highly recommend Sunshine Academy for their infant care. As a working mother, you want to be certain that your child is left in a loving, caring environment where the staff exercise Christian values and love God. The teachers in the infant room are warm and caring. The one thing that stands out about Sunshine Academy is that it is a VERY clean environment for your baby. This is very important. Every evening as I am leaving the infant room is being thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. The teachers talk to the babies, not baby talk, but they talk to the babies in complete sentences. This is awesome for their development. Also, the school listens to the wishes of the mother. The director goes out of her way to make sure parents are happy. In addition, you can tell that the people who work for Sunshine view this as their ministry, not a job. I only have experience with their infant room. I am a happy mother.
