We were not pleased! The teacher and principal were one unit and it was difficult to approach the teacher without her taking offense. When the principal would become involved she would immediately take offense and defend the teachers who were her buddies. The principal was a former teacher so she had made friends with her piers. I think it was difficult for her to separate her role as a friend and represent student, teacher and parents. She was not objective. It was her way or the highway!

Good Shepherd School is an amazing K-8 Christian private school. We have two kids, both started at GSS in Kindergarten. One has gone all the way through 8th grade and the other is in junior high. The school itself has been around for many, many years and they recently added a preschool. The teachers are excellent, compassionate and creative. They bond well with the kids and work to provide engaging learning opportunities, including a few dynamic living-history units. I love that they combine Biblical teaching throughout their curriculum. This school has provided my kids with a solid foundation not only of academics, but also of Biblical roots and character. The parent involvement is great and there is usually a parent helper in each classroom every day. Most of the kids come from the Boring, Gresham, Sandy area with a number also coming from Troutdale, Damascus, Happy Valley, Clackamas, Oregon City, and beyond. Deciding to send our kids to this school has been one of our best decisions.

I cannot say enough how thankful we are to have our daughter at Good Shepherd. The environment has been such an amazing blessing. The teachers and staff at Good Shepherd provide a wonderful godly and loving environment and help enable each child to excel in their faith, academics and character each and every day. Good Shepherd is not just a school, they are our family. Whether I am taking our daughter to scool, volunteering at the school or attending a church or school function, I get a wonderful feeling every single time I go there. My daughter started kindergarten at another private school. Every day I picked her up from school she cried. It was awful. She's in 4th grade now and since we made the switch to Good Shepherd, there is not one day she hasn't said "My day was wonderful!" We can't ask for more than that.

We are so blessed to have teachers who are passionate and compassionate. The desire to see all kids succeed in multiple aspects of their character is evident. There are classes and experiences offered here that you won't find anywhere else. Truly, any other school in our area simply cannot compete.

There is only one way to describe Good Shepherd School, home. For us it is so much more then just a school. It is our home and we are truly grateful for the teachers, principal, and the families we are surrounded by. My oldest is in his last year and my youngest is in Pre-School. The education my kids are receiving along with being able to celebrate the Lord in class everyday is priceless. They truly are apart of helping groom my kids to be successful adults. We could not be happier with Good Shepherd School.

My kids went to this school from Kindergarten through 8th grade, then went on to public high school where they excelled in academics and social aspects. I feel they were well prepared for the challenges they would encounter in a much larger school. They had acquired skills to be leaders in their high school years.

Good Shepherd is AMAZING! I just graduated and am so sad. Your 8th grade year you completely bond with your class. I already miss it so much and wish I could go back. Good Shepherd challenges us students, and gives us an amazing education. Every single teacher cares for every single student. The whole staff is loving and cares for you and your family. The parent involvement is great. The biblical teaching we are given is so helpful. I love this school so much. I had a fantastic 9 years.
