Brookside is a wonderful elementary school. It has the feel of a private school with public school amenities. The teachers are great and are always working with the best interest of the children. Each class has teachers' assistants to help the children with their learning. When there is an event at Brookside, I don't think there is one parent not in attendance. The school is open to parents and grandparents visiting and many come and have lunch with the kids.

I think the Susquehanna Valley School district is great if you have an average child with no difficulties. However I have a son with Autism so in that respect my problem isn't with the school itself but the director of special services who will not allow me to be a parent and make sure my son gets a great education that he deserves. I am trying to ensure he and the children around him are safe and the district is fighting me and even doubted his diagnosis until I got him reevaluated and proved to them is is autistic. The sad thing is we aren't the only family they are doing this to. They fight every family in this positon or so I hear. BEWARE!!!
