Absolutely love this school. I have a son in Speech and a Daughter in first grade. The teachers we have had experience with are very loving, and welcoming and my child is excelling beyond her peers. The parent involvement in this school is excellent and the school is very involved with events, and after school activities. There is always something fun and exciting for the kids to be involved in educationally and socially. We had a small issue on the bus and it was dealt with immediately by the principal and efforts were made to make sure that it never happened again! I would prefer this school over any other school in the district!

my family is so happy with this school. wish we would have moved her sooner. Great staff, great communication, good lunch program. I could have not asked for more.

Big Bend is a well kept secret! I have been very impressed with the professionalism of the staff, innovative programs, opportunities for parental involvement, and strong academic results as reported on the state report card (earning "exceeds expectations"). This school has a strong PTO recently funding SMART boards for every classroom, a 2nd computer lab, a rock climbing wall, and brand new digital equipment in their own TV studio which is run by students and Mrs. Bretza. My children have both received special services through the dedicated staff and have quickly caught up to grade appropriate reading levels. We have been very pleased since moving here in 2011 and would strongly recommend seeing what this school has to offer first hand! We have always felt welcomed by the principal and office staff and our kids truly enjoy going to school (are actually upset summer vacation is coming up!).

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!! BEWARE of this school! This school has constant bullying problems that aren't being dealt with! Not to mention everything from classroom overcrowding, understaffing at recesses, rude and unprofessional staff, parents driving eratically in the parking lot, teachers talking out of order to kids, etc...etc... Im NOT exxaggerating! I have had constant problems with this school and I have a 4 and 10 year old girls! I shouldn't be having issues! Teachers are lazy and do NOT pay attention! I know of several children who have broken bones on their playground, others have been assaulted, and a kid even got his ear pierced during recess by another child! IT'S CRAZY! And the education just generally seems to be lagging behind a year or two! It used to be a good school, but they have some new, young and timid principal who lets parents and teachers walk all over him and the school board just ignores it because Big bend is like the secret ugly stepchild of the Mukwanago school system! But hey, Don't take my word for it tho! Wonder why its the only school on here with a 7 out of 10? Ask someone before you put your kids at risk and send them to this dump!!!
