Terrible. If it wasn't for her parents and close friends around my student/athlete would not have the courage and confidence she has. Everyone in the community knows what is going on they are but it still occurs.

My children attend schools in this district. They absolutely love it there. Students are encouraged to not only complete their studies but to participate in the many clubs, activities, trips and sports. You get out what you put in...

When a snow day presented a scheduling problem. When the principal and other administrators were approached with these concerned I kid you not the response was only whining and excuses. Absolutely unacceptable. I could go on with my concerns but my intention is not to bash this school but to bring light to these problems and hope that someone of authority reads these comments and makes the necessary changes. Unfortunately I do not foresee these things being fixed before my other children get into the middle school which I also don't find to be very good so we chose to move out of the school district

My daughter was recently accepted into the "Georgian Court Humanities Program" an Excellent Opportunity to take College Accredited Courses from 10th - her Senior Year. Fantastic Program for Students headed into Fields relating to Humanities --- as Parents we are Grateful to Our Academic Advisors that made this possible. Central Regional continues to improve --- the more your student stays involved/parent involvement is crucial -- he/she can continue to be motivated towards future success!!

I think Central regional is an excellent school district! My daughter is getting an excellent education at the high school and also did well at the middle school when she was a student there. The principal, vice principals and teachers are extremely devoted to their students and they do not stand for unruly students. This school has come a long way over the past 5-10 years. Also, there are so many programs offered! Everything from the newly implemented Junior ROTC to AP classes, extracurricular activities, lots of sports, SAT boot camp and after school SAT tutoring! If you want to succeed here, you will! If you're lazy and unmotivated, you won't!

I would have to agree with the student who posted below. I am a sophomore in college and I can honestly say that high school certainly prepared me enough. The kids who say differently are the ones who didn't take advantage of the several programs that the school provides. Many students have poor attitudes but the one who are there to learn succeed through college. The teachers and administration are what really hold the school together. There are some lazy teachers, but you could find them in any school district. People seem to overlook the good just to see the bad. Our AP teachers are beyond qualified to be teaching at a high school level, and don't even get me started with the administration. Dr. Corbett was the vice principal of the middle school, then became principal of the high school my sophomore year. He enforces the rules, but even better he connects with the students. He knows everything about the shining pupils who excel in the classroom, to the best of the best in every sport. It is truly amazing. Dr. Trian Parlapanides is the man who is really behind making this school successful. He has done nothing but improve the schools standards and encourage our learning.

Central Regional High School has many opportunities for its' students: Humanities Academy Our progressive partnership with Georgian Court University allows qualifying students the ability to graduate high school with up to 30 college credits taught by Georgian Court University Professors at Central Regional High School for free, paid by School Choice funds. JROTC Our Army ROTC program was newly introduced this school year. These students learn leadership, social, team, and discipline skills that enhance their abilities to be successful on standardized tests, prepare for military service or college, but most importantly, in life. Student and Exchange Visitor Program We are excited to announce our recent approval by U.S. Department of Homeland Security to host international students at the Central Regional High School starting this September 2014. $100 Million Business Model The Central Regional School District is building the first public/private business model with over $100 million being invested at Central Regional for a medical clinic/wellness center, indoor ice rink and separate in-door track facility. Sincerely, Dr. Parlapanides

Central Regional High School does not get enough credit here because of the students who could care less about school. Too many people judge a school based off of the students that do not go to college or drop out. Yes, this school has these type of students, as does just about every other public high school. The AP teachers here are so smart. Each AP teacher I have had cares so much about you, and what you learn here. They want you to push yourself and achieve here. Yes, the workload for the AP courses here are very tough. I've taken English, Physics, Chemistry, and Calculus AP courses, and I learned so much from these teachers. Not to mention, the AP English teacher has a doctoral degree and everything that comes out of her mouth is pure wisdom, and will help you with your writing skills so much. I have a good friend who graduated from here and now goes to Cornell University and aced his first biology oral exam because of what he learned in AP Chemistry. It's amazing what this school gives to the students. I strongly recommend this school to students wanting to work hard in their AP classes, and do not judge this school based off of what others say.

Central regional is work in progress. The school is definitely improving every year. I do believe their needs to be a change in teaching staff. Some teachers are amazing while others really don't seem to care.

This school is horrible. Most of the teachers do not care about the students, only the paycheck they are going to receive. The superintendent just wants to make a name for himself and is trying to turn our middle and high schools into charter schools. The community should have been the ones deciding on whether our schools should be "choice" schools or if uniforms should be implemented, not our wonderful board. It should have been the people's choice. The school also does not ready the students for college at all.

Having gone to this school I can say it has been the best years of my life. I'm about to graduate and am sad to leave Central behind. I could not ask for a better staff of teachers, consolers, or administration for my high school career. I went to a different school my sophomore year and was so happy to transfer back. Central is as good as they come.

The teachers and administarators have done nothing but work hard for all the students. I have seen it first hand with two children at different levels.
