My child has been at St. Rose for three years and is thriving!! The friendships our whole family has made are wonderful. The children are kind and respectful, the teachers know exactly who we are and are nurturing of our children's academic and emotional needs, and the work that the PTA and administration are doing to advance the mission of the school and support the children and families is commendable. I am proud to say that we are a St. Rose Family!

I have two daughters in this school, since Pre-K. They are in 1st and 4th grade. I am happy with this school academically, however on a spiritual level, the school lacks after school activities and clubs. The upper grades have service projects, but the younger grades have nothing. I am overjoyed that the religion books are from IGNATIUS PRESS, an excellent publishing company that is true to the Catholic Cathecism teaching. All in all, the teachers are loving, nurturing and kind. There are quite a few that have been there for eons, and need to retire! The front office is wonderful and the Principal, is a kind decent man who has an open door policy. My children and I feel safe with the school policies and procedures, and the school is very protected of its children. The police department is 1/2 block away. The Principal is outside directing children to their parents' cars at pick up everyday. While no school is perfect, SRGS gets an A- in my book! Our Monsignor often comes into school and may even teach an aspect in religion class. The SRGS kids are always in the newspaper for various achievements! Trust me you won't be disappointed!

We transferred to St Rose from a public school. We couldn't be happier. We now feel "involved" in our daughters education vs the teacher keeping us at a distance. So refreshing.

My child attended SRGS for many years and had to be pulled out due to a major problem of bullying at this school. When the issue was brought to the attention of the principal as well as the Diocese of Trenton, absolutely NOTHING was done about it....NOTHING! There are also many cliques amongst the students and parents alike. If you're not from the long line of alumnis from this school, you just may not receive such a warm reception. Although the school teaches adamantly about how God and Jesus want us to be -- kind, loving, considerate, etc., this is not how my child was treated by some of the students.There was just way too much drama. My suggestion would be is to send your child to public school where they are serious about addressing the bullying issue and save your money for their college education. As a parent, we cannot only teach our children right from wrong, but also teach them to live it as well as well as let them know that there are consequences to their actions. My child now attends public school and has more good friends from good families than I can count!!!!

I sent my first child to this school and learned the hard way. It was not the kind of environment I want my children raised in. I realize that there are drugs and alcohol everywhere. It's the way they are dealt with that defines the school's ability to meet the changing society. This school is not equip to address any problems internally or externally. I chose to send my other 4 children to public school and am so glad I did.
