Belleville (New Jersey) Public Schools are HORRIBLE to say the least. There is little to no communication between school and parents. The learning environment is dysfunctional. The curriculum is all over the place and fluctuates every school year. Children learn on electronics, there is little to NO work done on paper. They use electronics/apps to “communicate” with parents but more than one platform is used for parents to view grades, school assignments, communication with teachers, etc.. The children are treated as inmates not learners. The students are 1 or more grade levels behind in academics. Parents have no voice and neither do the teachers that care. They do not mis-communicate when dealing with community events but parents are uninformed and oblivious to the little things happening in school i.e. report cards/progress reports/parent conferences.
