We were recommended to Bedford because my son has an IEP since pre-K and we are so happy that we made it here - So many supportive teachers and programs! The engagement with parents are pretty good too. My son absolutely loves this school and he thrives here especially his social skills.

All three of my kids have gone through this school and it is simply the most nurturing and wonderful place for the kids to learn. Everything is customized to K-2 and I appreciate that my kids were not being trampled by 5th graders. I love that in Bedford, all the kids in town go to the same school so there is no distinction about "better elementary" schools or one that is in the richer part of town, per se. Wonderful staff with little turnover demonstrates commitment to the school and a great working environment for the staff. Excellent excellent school.

Our son has been in Davis for 2 years -- 1st and 2nd grade, and in first grade, his teacher could not have been better -- a super blend of caring and control, and high energy. Our son's skills, across the board -- took a huge leap, and he was at an advanced level at the end of the year that made the transition to 2nd grade an easy one. He also felt accepted and safe. We also liked the blend of technology (smart board) and traditional, and that the kids were trusted to complete truly impressive projects. The second grade has seen further leaps in skills, especially in reading and writing, and he has maintained his already advanced math skills. He's also getting a decent dose of science, geography, etc ..., and beginning to understand the world. Academically, our only quandary is the schools decision to not require the teaching of cursive (it is up to the teacher) -- we understand the thought, given technological advances, but we're still not sure how we feel about it (e.g., signature, our countries, note taking, won't there be a hand written test at some point?), but this is a bigger issue.
