I've seen a lot of fights, herd slurs, drama and gossip, although some teachers are great. All grades got into fights at least once, victims were blamed and punished, gas leaks, fart bombs, student to teacher/ substitute harassment, are just some to name the few experiences I have seen at my time in Five Oaks. Some students even leaving the school from serious causes of bullying, harassment and even physical violence, the school's network once got hacked and all students passwords were leaked which caused serious safety issues that had the police step in, although special education is accommodated and staff were nice, I still don't feel safe in school, hallways or the cafeteria, each one of those places has had a fight in place and without my phone on me at all times I do not feel safe in that school without knowing I can contact a parent, I cannot be safe in that building without knowing I could get the only thing that makes me feel safe being taken away, I even question whether or not the staff do background checks on their substitutes, once even a teacher threw their keys at their student, although that teacher has left for reasons, I am still not 100% safe in Five Oaks, they do a decent job at providing for family needs (from my case not all), social workers are a huge help, and some teachers are great, most of the students at school are the problem, I've seen students skip class, even bring a knife to school once, and rumors of teen sex. Five Oaks is a decent school but has many flaws yet to be fixed in the system like setting down hard boundaries for their students and taking action when needed too, now at the time of writing this there has been a few changes since the "fight week" where several fights happened throughout every grade (6th to 8th) all in the same week with a gas leak and fart bomb, Beaverton Police now are around the school more often, but bullying is bound to happen through every middle school no matter how clean the record is but Five Oaks can somehow make that worse from my experience. I hope that Five Oaks can change for the better with more ground rules, competent substitutes or staff, better care with their students and providing for their needs, and making choices that better the community. This is just my experience at Five Oaks, everyone's are different and mine is my own from rumors, witnesses and even seeing these with my own eyes.

I haven't been involved in too much drama at this school, but I can tell you what I think could be improved. I feel that most of the time, when teachers are strict with us, it can lead to students misbehaving. While this is not okay, it's understandable. Take the drama and choir teacher, for example. They are passionate about teaching, yet maintain a balance of being easy-going and strict. Safety is also a major concern. The staff work hard to curb bad behavior, but unfortunately, it seems to only escalate. I've experienced some teasing, but it's not too severe. One major issue, however, is the prevalence of racism at this school. Kids often make racist jokes, but they don't seem to take it seriously. Additionally, there are quite frequent fights. Overall, Five Oaks is not the best school, but many teachers do try hard to make it better.

I recently had the opportunity to visit and review FiveOaks Middle School, and I must say that I was thoroughly impressed with my experience. This school has clearly invested a great deal of effort into creating a positive and inclusive environment for their students. One aspect that stood out to me was the level of dedication exhibited by the staff. From the moment I walked through the doors, it was evident that the teachers and administrators at FiveOaks Middle School genuinely care about the success of their students. They went above and beyond to ensure that every student felt supported and valued.Additionally, the academic programs offered at FiveOaks Middle School are exceptional. The curriculum is well-developed and provides students with a well-rounded education. I was particularly impressed with the emphasis placed on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) subjects. The school offers a wide range of extracurricular activities and clubs, allowing students to explore their interests and develop their skills outside of the classroom. The facilities at FiveOaks Middle School are top-notch. The classrooms are spacious and well-maintained, creating a conducive learning environment. I was also impressed with the school's library and laboratory facilities, which provide students with ample resources and tools to enhance their learning experience. In terms of safety, FiveOaks Middle School leaves no room for concern. The security measures in place are robust, ensuring the safety and well-being of all students and staff. I appreciated the visible presence of security personnel and the implementation of various protocols to maintain a secure environment.

The bullying is out of control, my child was slapped in view of staff and they did nothing. I contacted the vice principal, who had to be told to follow up with me three days later. And then I asked a follow up question, a week later, no response.I get it, this is hard. But if you can't do your job, you need to step aside for new people who still have the emotional reserves for it. Our kids are paying the price. If anyone knows of any anti-bullying groups that the Five Oaks parents have set up, we could really use some guidance from someone who has been brushed aside before.

Worst school ever! Low class elementary grade education, you have to spend more money on another form of education because this school provides nothing. Basically a review of elementary, and does not prepare you for high school at all! So many fights that happen right in front of the teachers, and they do nothing. There are no restrictions at this school, kids are free to do whatever they want. Teachers barely come to school, there is a substitute almost every week. Unbelievable, many kids are afraid to even come here everyday because of the amount of bullying going on. Kids are scared to even go in the halls alone. This place is like child abuse, I can't stress that enough! Very dissatisfied with this school, and please read this before putting your child in this so called "school".

This is the most awful school my son has ever attended. We are military and have attended many schools. If this is the worst, then there needs to be changes. Disapline is a big problem in this school.

I feel that the teachers are very good at what they do, but the students try their hardest to not learn and to be disrespectful. Overall, this school is not the best.

I would say my experience at Five Oaks was average. I did enjoy the experience with MOST of my teachers and MOST of the students. I think a lot of the experience is positioning yourself in the right situation and not getting involved in a lot of drama.

This school is not good. My daughter went there the last 2years and it needs help. They mark her absent when she was in placement testing, Mark her absent when she is there on time. We withdrew her today, husband was there and even talked to the secretaries, half hour later the Secretary calls to confirm the withdraw. Then when I tell her my husband was there, she tells me he was not. No choir, the club's are inconsistent. Have to say the 2 star is only for the major improvement this year with the band program. We now have one that is every day, not every other. If you can choose, pick another school, academically, they will fall behind here.

I am a student attending this school at the moment. I have good grades, and it's always temping to skip homework, grade my friends test paper to a good score, or even sometimes skip class. No one usually gets caught in these situations from my point of view. There's always cheating, sneaking around, too much drama, and not enough teachers play attention to their students. I know thy try their hardest, but it's not enough. There is a lot of "bulling" at this school, but from what I see, it's mostly teasing that sometimes goes into an extreme. I think his school could improve in all ways possible, it needs work on everything, but due to budget cuts, there will be no improvement, and probably only get worse as there might be a need for more budget cuts. In the end, if you are a parent taking their time to read this, and researching about the school your child will be attending, I say go to another school, because this school is not what you are looking for, trust me.

Go to South Meadows Middle School. That's all I have to say. I'm coming back to this school next year for 8th grade and I hope I can avoid all the bullies to come. :(

I am pulling my second child out of this school. When my 18 year old daughter was in Five Oaks I pulled her because of their incompetence. I am now pulling my 12 year old daughter out, because they are still incompetent. Never send any child to this school.

5 oaks is ok. The people there are nice, it's just I think its stupid they combine history, geo, and writing into one class, Humanities. Also I do NOT like my math teacher. I'm one of the more advanced students in my math class, and my teacher accuses me of not challenging myself (that's why I'm getting near perfect grades).
