My kids are attending Bethany Elementary and I've only got good things to say about this school. So far the teachers they got have been excellent in helping them to excel in reading and math. My kids are excited to go to school everyday and they have not faced any bullying ever.

My kid goes to Bethany Elementary. I also volunteer at this school. The school is good and has a great staff. Only beef I have is that this school has hired a wrong person to direct the cars during the pick up hours. I have noticed a clear and direct discrimination by this weird dude (who directs the go\nogo of the cars) who selectively picks on certain people to let go and make others to wait even though they are next in queue. Basically, he is not following same rules for everyone... Hopefully, school will change this situation in near future. - parent

My kids have attended this school for the past few years. I worked as a public school substitute &a teacher elsewhere for a decade, so I have seen a wide variety of educational settings.That being said,my biggest issue is there could be more differential teaching adjustments for TAG kids as well as special ed, but that may be due to current district wide budget constraints. Aside from that, the educational experience my children have received is awesome! The principal is strict, but friendly & easily approachable. He adheres to rules(imagine that!) that are implemented for the safety and educational benefit of every child who attends this school.That means he sets the bar really high for the teachers, staff and parents, who in turn should have high expectations from the students-which I believe is absolutely a positive thing! The PTO is well organized and does great things for the school. I believe it is an exceptional school where the majority of the staff and parents go the extra mile to make it one of the best elementary schools in the district. It is situated in a culturally and socio-economic diverse community, which is yet another factor that makes this school so fabulous.

Teachers, staff and the Principal are very caring to kids. Good teaching quality. My child has improved a lot in her studies, communication, behavior etc. I recommend this school to anyone who wishes to send their children to a good elementary school.

Bethany school has undergone many changes this year and not for the better. The new principal is very strict, rules with an iron fist so to speak. There are so many new policies, that lists had to be posted in front of the school. Bethany was a great place to volunteer but that has changed as well. A few elitist mothers have single handedly squelched the incredible volunteer spirit that has been the school hallmark for years. The above problems coupled with staggering budget cuts have taken the school from exceptional to average.

Bethany is one of the best schools in the beaverton school district and their scores show it. We have been truly happy with Bethany and we have been to many. I think what makes this school so different is how involved everyone is from the teachers, principal and all the volunteers and they all truly want the best for our kids.

My child learned how to read from scratch in 6 months at this school. The staff demonstrated excellence with results orientation enabling this outcome. You can pay alot more and get less tangible benefit elsewhere. The staff here knows how to encourage children to learn and knows how to measure this progress.

Bethany Elementary School is a great school in Beaverton. The teaching staffs are very caring and responsible. The teacher student ratio is very reasonable and all the kids get attention. We are very happy with the teacher and the principal. If you are looking for a diverse, caring, passinate and prefessional school for your kids, Bethany Elementary won't let you down.
