We are new to the school this year. The Siskiyou School has been a major blessing for us. Our son is excited to be at school. In fact, most weekends he says he'd rather be at school! What I love most about the school is his teacher and the family involvement. It doesn't just feel like a school separate from our life; it feels like his class is intertwined with our life in a wonderful way. I never had this opportunity for myself in my school years which is unfortunate. I would have thrived at the Siskiyou School. If you aren't quite sure that your child's current school is working for them, give the Siskiyou School a try. They offer tuition assistance if you need it. It is such a beautiful way of teaching and the classrooms, classwork, and campus provide a comforting and enriching environment that you won't find elsewhere. I read that negative reviews below and I feel that this information really throws people off. This school works hard and the results are fantastic. Those bad reviews are not warranted in my opinion. No perfect school exists but as my son and I say, the Siskiyou School is one of the best schools in the US (and maybe even the world!).

We are huge fans of the Siskiyou School. We have had two children enrolled for several years and their joy and excitement about school are felt every day. This is a Waldorf education so things move at a different speed, however our evidence is that this speed works amazingly well! Our kids are right where they should be both educationally and emotionally and I see how they come to learning with an interest and passion you may not find elsewhere all the time. The school still has a ways to go to reach my personal goals for diversity and inclusion, but as an active parent, I do feel that by bringing my requests to the school, they are slowly being considered. The avenues for communication are there, especially if you come with a tangible solution and an offer to help. I hope they continue to grow and expand and honor the changes in the world, while still holding true to their Waldorf roots. Steiner was a bit of a weird guy, so if you can look past that and see the modernization happening, I bet you’ll be happy!

I had two children that attended this school. They love the rich Main Lessons and variety of art, handwork, woodworking, foreign languages taught (Spanish and Mandarin) and the various fun games they learn in their PE classes. Math is taught in such an interesting and meaningful way. The festivals of a typical Waldorf School are here as well like Michaelmas, May Day, and Winterfaire. Beautiful campus with gardens for children to explore science and nature. Meaningful connections with multiple teachers who take the time to learn about their students. It really does take a village and I am grateful that The Siskiyou School has been part of ours.

Terrible. There are many silent people whose children have been traumatized at this school.

Terrible. It was the worst mistake we made in our children’s education so far.
