Eh it was alright, transferred here when I was in 3rd grade and it was pretty good, but if you live in the district then just please don't send your kids to eagle ridge middle school bro like it's so awful there, just transfer to a different middle school or something it's not worth it.

Excellent staff, from Principal to teachers and support staff. The kids are so so happy being at this school. They schedule awesome events for kids to engage with the school outside of the routine school day (BINGO, softball game, book night in PJs). They truly work to make sure every student is supported at their individual need/level and work to make sure kids look forward to going to school.

Mr. Cornely and all the staff (including cleaning people and cafeteria ladies) make this school a great and safe place for our kids. Everybody have positive energy and make the kids feel comfortable. I am lucky to have my kid in this school.

Mill Run is awesome. All 4 of our kids have gone here and they love it. It starts with the principal who is just top notch and is a true leader. All the teachers we’ be had have been five stars. I couldn’t be more happier with this elementary school.

It has been an absolutely amazing experience for our children to be part of the MRES family. The leadership, teachers, staff, the entire school culture provides a safe, loving educational environment. As with all things, there are challenges and I could not choose a better administration to partner with. I have yet to meet a teacher that didn’t love their job or their students. Their Principle is just shy of a replicable of Mr. Roger’s and his staff and students alike adore him.Their patience, understanding and concern for my family as a whole and their support to my littles will never be forgotten. It has been a privilege to be apart of this Mill Run community. I am forever grateful for my children’s experience. Consider your self to have hit the jackpot with Mill Run as your home school.

I had high hopes for this school but am really disappointed at how it has turned out. They have some very inexperienced teachers who have no clue how to run a classroom. No one is paying attention to the students during recess. You can see the disparity between students to get the good teachers and inexperienced ones. The PE teachers and lunch ladies (except for a few exceptions) are the biggest bullies at the school. When anything is brought up to the principal he is quick to pull up attendance and threaten with an attendance officer, instead of trying to figure out why the student is so unhappy at school. If you work at the school then your child will get their pick of the best teachers. However, if you are both working parents and can’t volunteer all the time or work at the school then your kid gets the worst teachers.

We really tried our best to love this school and make it a positive experience. Unfortunately, that did not happen. There are some good teachers who are usually assigned to the children of other teachers and staff members who attend the school. The other teachers are vindictive and straight up negligent. The students are not monitored during recess, the lunch ladies are mean and yell at the students on a regular basis. They used to have a system of red cup, yellow cup, green cup in place during lunch which was overused by the staff. This system created a hostile environment for the student who was blamed for the red cup which was followed by further shaming and being singled out. The PE teachers all have sadistic tendencies, there is absolutely no tolerance or leniency towards the students, they make a child who asks for directions for the play to be repeated shamed and sit out for the duration of the game. I ask you this, as an adult, if you ask a person to repeat a certain part of the directions and that person shames you then tells you that you are not allowed to participate while you are seated and your friends enjoy the games. How would you feel? Why are we allowing these types of behaviors to occur against our children? The BIGGEST issue at this school is that if you complain there is always a chance for everything to take a turn for the worse and cause further issues for your child. Also when you bring up any concerns to the principal his reply is always asking the parents why they are not volunteering and in the school very often, all the while ignoring the fact that the school is failing its students.

We moved into the area last year. With all Covid related challenges, and being new students, our kids were a bit nervous in the beginning. However teachers and staff in this school were very organized, and switched to distance and hybrid learning experiences so well. We could not believe that a distance learning might be effective, but I guess now now that it really depends on how that is done. Our kids love this school and their teachers.

I am so blown away by this amazing elementary school! I cannot say enough great things about Mill Run’s staff, teachers and administration. Their commitment to excellence, character, collaboration, perseverance, social and emotional growth, enrichment and diversity is evident through their teaching, modeling and community involvement. As a teacher I know the hard work that goes on behind the scenes. You can tell from the moment you walk into that school the dedication and passion the staff, teachers and administration put into every lesson, every team meeting, every assembly, every staff meeting, every interaction with students EVERY day. I feel so fortunate to have my daughter as a kindergartener at Mill Run with an amazing and highly-effective teacher and look forward to many more wonderful years at this incredible school!

I cannot say enough good things about this school. I have a son with special needs who was in the K2 program for kindergarten last year, and will be in K2 first grade this year. I was terrified at the start of his kindergarten year. I didn't know anyone there, any of the teachers, and it broke my heart to think about what his days might look like. Were they being nice to him? Were the teachers being patient? I quickly learned what kind of school Mill Run really is about and what sets them apart from all the rest. They could not have been more welcoming or more accommodating. Everyone from the principal and vice principal to the aides in the classroom went above and beyond to make sure my child got exactly what he needed and to make sure he felt at home. He has made such a vast improvement overall since he began and he absolutely loves it there. I LOVE this school.

My son went to Mill Run for all 6 grades and my daughter attended Mill Run from 2nd to 5th grade. Mr. Cornely is an excellent Principal and learnt from the best, Mr. Paul Vickers (the principal before).Their teachers over the years, from Mrs. Winegar/Warner in "K" to Mr. Vinson & Mr. Wolslayer in "5th Grade" were all excellent and staff overall are very helpful and accommodating. Thankful that both my kids had a wonderful Elementary School experience.

This is our second year at Mill Run and we have been very pleased with the caliber of the teachers and staff. One thing I really like is the various ways they keep you informed of events happening - no chance you'll forget!
