- Submitted by parent on August 28, 2012I am a parent of a 2nd grader, this is her 2nd year attending Anthony Elem. I am very pleased with her progress, and willingness to want to learn more and be more involved. This is due to her Excellent 1st grade teacher who put extra time and effort into my child. Iam also a parent who is involved with her child and teacher and has almost daily contact with her. Im glad our family moved to be in this school zone. It was the best decesion for our child.
- Submitted by parent on June 01, 2012When I wrote a glowing review in 2009 for this school, it was indeed a first rate school. My son's kindergarten and first grade teachers were the best of the best! However, the quality and performance of the school has gone downhill drastically since that time. Standardized test scores have fallen significantly, there's been two changes in principles, very, very few parents participate in PTO or SAC, and it is becoming increasingly difficult for parents to know what actually takes place in their student's classroom. This no longer feels like our local, community school; it's more like a typical government-run institution that has its own set of priorities.
