I cannot say enough wonderful things about Oak Trails: the teachers, the environment, the curriculum, the food, the love, the location... the beautiful philosophy. I am a trained Waldorf teacher but I wouldn't have my daughter in any other setting than this lovely, heart-centered, whole-child-focused classroom.

Oak Trails Montessori School is an absolute gem!. We could not be more pleased with the preprimary education our two children have received there. If you believe that your child should be educated in a peaceful, low-key, non-commercialized environment, that your child should be able to take nature walks and to garden at school and that your child s school should be a supportive environment that encourages individual exploration and expression, then you may be an Oak Trails parent! The school is a nonprofit and has no other agenda than presenting the Montessori method of education as originally envisioned by Maria Montessori. The dirt road can be tricky at times, and the outside of the school may not be what you expect, but once you get inside and see the children working, you will feel the magic.

This has been the perfect place for our little boy. We were first attracted to it's peaceful environment and the focus on daily living activities that children can do on their own to foster independence and confidence - especially at preschool age, they love to do these things (tie shoes, put on jackets, sweep, etc). As he has grown and developed, we've appreciated that he can explore the many wonderful Montessori activities at his level and speed. Attention spans of all the children really develop here. It is a caring, nurturing, healthy environment with healthy food, outdoor play, etc. We can't say enough about the teachers! The facility needs updates, but the tuition is low to allow all access to this great Montessori education - hard to have it both ways, and we could get over old facilities in the interest of diversity and quality.
