This school is overpriced and underwhelming. The building is beautiful, but the curriculum is no different than the local public schools and the families are mostly stuck up and rich. There are too many days off, which only benefit the stay-at-home moms who love taking lots of vacations with their kids. If you are in a 2-working parent household, the schedule is difficult. The cultural education is performative at best. There has been a revolving door of leadership and tuition continues to rise.

I loved the Pike School and I thought it was very good. The teachers were always welcoming and they encouraged a safe and robust learning environment. I am so happy I choose the Pike School and I would definitely recommend it for its commitment to learning and excellent teachers.

The view to Pike is quite drastic differently, depends who you are. My kids always like to come to school, made friends, involved in school activities, and rewarded for their efforts. Academic challenge is not enough, particular on STEM side, but I do understand and acknowledge that education is the effort of family, school, and students own desire. Both of my kids doing really well at Pike and beyond, I am not a fan of the recently step downed head of the school, so can only imagine Pike heading to the right direction.

My children have been part of Pike since Pre-K, and are excelling in the Lower School. Throughout our journey in the lower school, every teacher they've had has been exceptional. They prioritize developing the whole child, taking the time to understand children’s individual needs, and infusing fun and creative learning into classroom activities. With small class sizes, a diverse student body, a strong emphasis on the outdoors, and a crucial focus on fostering kindness and empathy, Pike creates an environment where students thrive. Choosing Pike has undoubtedly been one of the best choices for our family, and we eagerly anticipate witnessing our children's continued growth at the school.

I really like the small classes and curriculum. I do not like the overtly liberal bias. They're accepting of everyone unless you are a conservative.

Unless you are a raging liberal, do not put your kid in Pike!!!!

I like the principal and her work done so far at Pike. But there is a lot of left leaning agenda at Pike that makes it very boring to be at Pike. It is a one way street when it comes to social issues. You either lean left or you will be called homophobic or whatever. Education wise I would rate them 2-3 stars. I would recommend pike to parents whose kids are1) Need attention and you have money like 40 k to spare2) Your local public school is not good at all3) You are rich and don't know what to do with your moneyI like the principal though but I hate the agenda of the school. The grading in Pike is not fair and your kid will compete with public school student when applying to prep schools like PA and they will suffer as currently prep schools are trashing SSAT scores. This coming from a parent of a kid who aced the SSAT but still did not make it to the dream school because of Pike grades. So parents beware what you are getting into and don't repent.

My time at Pike was nothing but exceptional. Pike set my academic foundation and established my love of learning. Looking back it is easy to see how Pike prepared me for high school, college, and my professional career. The work was rigorous enough to constantly challenge me while offering an incredibly strong support system that never made me feel discouraged. Now, many years later, I am still great friends with my peers and in constant contact with the community. Pre-k through 9th Grade Alum.

I am a parent of one current student and one graduate of The Pike School. Pike has been the foundation of their development, along with their family life. Both of my children are well-rounded and prepared for the many challenges and opportunities in life. I give Pike a lot of credit for their successes and, I am confident, what will be their continued success. The curriculum is rock solid and Pike is a safe and comfortable place for a child to attend school; while providing a view of, and preparation, for a complicated world. There is new leadership at Pike. This has been refreshing, but, of course, not without the challenges of a 100 year pandemic. As I have often said during the last year, no one in a decision making capacity was left with a playbook by a predecessor on how to successfully maneuver through a pandemic. Yet, Pike leadership has overcome the challenges and kept the school open, with options for how to attend during this difficult period. Change is always difficult. It is easy to be critical. I choose to be positive about change. I have no role, official or unofficial, in connection with the school. I don't interact much with the administration. If I have something to say; I weigh in. I am just a parent, doing my job and trying to do the best for my children. I continue to have the utmost confidence for my second child's remaining time at Pike. And, by the way, my oldest daughter is graduating from high school this spring. In the fall, she will head to a major and top-rated university as a member of the Class of 2025. Yes, I give Pike a lot of credit for helping to her get there and on the road to being a positive and contribution member of society.

The Pike School is a bright, positive place where I have seen my two children blossom both academically and social-emotionally. What more could you want as a parent? With a new head of school at the beginning of the pandemic, Pike has exceeded expectations in terms of maintaining health and wellness as well as the high standard of education our family has come to expect over the years. We are thrilled to be members of the Pike community.

The new Head of School is, to put it bluntly, not remotely qualified and personifies everything wrong with the SJW movement. She will hold meetings for only minority parents and tell the white parents that they are not welcome and may not attend The school has moved away from a STEM based curriculum and is now basing its plan around a social justice and equity curriculum.

The school's administration has no respect for the parents

Pike is a rudderless school adrift. The COVID situation has highlighted the inexperience of the current leadership team. The school recently announced that there will be a substantial tuition increase and raises for the already bloated administration while they have severely cut back on student amenities and extra curricular activities. It used to be that Pike was a school that provided an exceptionally well rounded education for students and a leg up on admissions to the areas top secondary schools. Given Pikes’s deteriorating reputation and relationships with those schools even that leg up doesn’t exist anymore.

Our child started at the Pike School in 6th grade and we have been beyond thrilled to be part of the Pike community. The teachers, administration and staff go above and beyond to make the experience a positive one for every student, parent and family. The education truly is a whole child experience and students are encouraged to try new things while learning from mistakes in a positive environment. The Pike School was not only a good choice for our child but for our family. We are proud to be part of the Pike School and the amazing Pike community.

Our son attends Pike and we could not be more pleased. My son started in fifth grade and I was immediately impressed of how comfortable they made him and his transition was seamless. The community is amazing too. Not only did my son feel welcomed to the school but the community embraced my husband and I as well. My son has now started 6th grade and is enjoying his transition to the upper school. Pike truly is committed to developing the whole child. They help students become confident, problem solvers, creative, kind and responsible. I could not be more proud to be a part of this community and have my son attend this incredible school. We highly recommend Pike!

I love how Pike is committed to developing the "whole child" - they encourage creativity, risk-taking and rich learning. My children are delighted to go to school, excited to learn and never want to miss a day. As a parent, it makes my heart sing with delight to see my children be thoroughly engaged. Students are proud to be high-achievers -- Pike is also dedicated to support the development of truly compassionate citizens. Just THE best.

The teachers accuse the students of "playing" games in school AND they won't listen to student opinions, they also give Lunch duties unfairly, Overall this is Unsatisfactory to BARE MINIMUM Below Average, Only good part is good education. May not send my kid to school here for 7th grade now
