My son attended another jr high in this district for all of 7th and most of 8th grade. He did not like that other school. After transferring here, the teachers were easier to get a hold of. The office and staff were amazing and kind. The band teacher and band program were welcoming. I could not be happier that I transferred my son to Orangeview.

Orangeview’s JHS Band has been such a great opportunity for my son Andrew. He is in 7th grade and has learned so much very quickly. I thoroughly enjoyed hearing all the instruments come together. You can tell they all worked hard and were well rehearsed. I highly recommend attending their future concerts and I look forward to attending their next one!

Initially, I did not want my son to attend this school as I really wasn't impressed with the school itself, the classes it had to offer, or even the office staff as their etiquette in communication definitely wasn't their strongest skill. My son ended up going here though as the school I tried to transfer him to was at capacity and couldn't take him. Over time I ended up getting to know the principal Mrs. Crawford through her monthly coffee with the principal meetings, and any time I had a concern she would not only listen, but she would take appropriate action to address my concerns. She is engaged in so many things, including PTSA, activities and incentives, and just goes above and beyond for these kids as she truly cares for every one of her students and this is reflected in her actions. My son became involved in music here and he plays violin in the schools orchestra. This music teacher is a unicorn as I have never had my kids in a public school with a music teacher who taught orchestra, band, choir, guitar, ukulele, keyboard, and more. I have personally seen her make sacrifices so her students can have more opportunities to participate in events and activities. She truly helps her students learn, grow and flourish, and stays after school practically every day, keeping her classroom open to allow students to practice their instruments or provide extra help as needed. Mr. Hansen is also one of my son's favorite teachers, teaching entrepreneurship and robotics. I've really seen my son's creative side really come out in this class with this teachers influence and guidance. While this school may not be much to look at, it's the teachers that are the hidden gem. Their principal is truly amazing, their music teacher is exceptional, and many of the rest go above and beyond for their students. I actually want my son to stay at this school now as I'd be paying a fortune for his music lessons alone were it not for the instruction they get at this school for free. Don't judge this school by its cover. While the outside is a work in progress, the true gems are inside teaching our kids, encouraging them to be at their best, and helping them along the way.

We have enjoyed our year at Orangeview Junior High. We chose this school for its music program my son plays the drums. Mrs. Reyes is fun she loves the kids and puts on an amazing concert. Next year we will continue in the program and my son is enjoying junior high no drama from kids and lots of school activities.

The school is ok and overall great, School just needs to focus on bullying because they are not good at it and don't know how to deal with it. The teachers are nice and explain everything correctly. Their is teachers at Orangeview that help with the learning differences

Orangeview is an amazing school. I am currently a student there and I love it!!!! This school still has a bad reputation but I don't know why. The teachers are great and really care about your studies. I definitely recommend it.
