We love Legacy Elementary! We are looking at moving to a bigger home, but we will only look in the Legacy boundary. The teachers and administration are excellent!

Excellent teachers mostly in 4th, 5th, and 6th grade where they push students to excel, but still are nurturing. The principal, a polished speaker, talks a good game to parents. Yet, he can be petty and controlling. My three children for seven years have been in his favorite teacher's classes and have performed well. Several of my neighbor's children have not been so fortunate. I've noticed that some teachers are overloaded with more challenging students where the learning in merely mediocre. Not fair? Also test score seem to take on a more important role than the actual nurturing and learning for students. I do applaud some lower grade teachers for doing so well with large classes and only meager administrative support. My advise, smile and pony up to the principal and your students will be placed in the better classes. Also try to avoid the interns. Normally 3 or more in the school, often in the lower grades. They are enthusiastic, but often poor quality. Good luck. Don't forget parent requests for everything; he will most surely oblige... to make parents happy. Overall, still a good school.
