I don't even know where to begin. I guess all schools have there good and there bad, but to be uncommunicative is terrible to parent inquiries. But the teachers do as Administration allow them to and set the example. Also, I find certain staff not to be truthful when their statements were followed up on. If there was an Undercover Boss for schools, I would strongly suggest Fulton County invest in doing it here for the sake of the students and good teachers and staff here. If not that, do anonymous parent surveys. Maybe a shift in Administration would help.

MOE used to be an amazing school. Sadly, leadership changed - morale has declined and staff turnover has increased.

My experience was like fun learning the subjects and the teacher's use respectful manners and this school has overtime activities for children that needs help with something or they want to have soccer practice after school.

As a parent of elementary kid I was all curious few years ago when we joined our bright kindergarten, however many aspects have gone down the hill and it dissapoints me to agree that there can be only bad teachers but never bad students.. main reason I think could be attrition rate of experienced teaching staff. Principle to teachers everyone is leaving the school for better prospects, the newcomers are struggling to uplift school vs personal goals of better education and care to students.

If your child is advanced, DO NOT go to this school. This school focuses all of its energy on making sure everyone passes. They will NOT help your kids to reach higher if they are advanced. We moved from a different county (where my child was thriving) to this school where the attitude was just so different from the start. Every school meeting, teachers spent 100% of the time talking about how they will help your child pass the class and what steps they would take if your child doesn’t pass a test. This wasn’t the info I needed. When I tried to ask questions about my child who was in advanced classes before, they told me they would talk to me after the meeting was over - because it applied to no one else there. My child was seriously held behind by this school. She was downgraded to regular level classes and her reading level went backwards after attending this school for a year. Thankfully we moved (for this reason) and now she’s at Summit Hill, in accelerated math, advanced English and advanced science, as well as TAG. And she’s SO MUCH happier. This school does care about your child if he/she needs some extra help, but they will not be a good fit for you if your child is advanced.

Great passionate teachers. Love their Family activities like International Night, movie nights, kickball, music programs, and Science Night.

I've read a few comments praising the diversity at MOE, but let's be honest! The school has a diverse student body and that is all. MOE is north of Atlanta in a predominately white area and the chances of your child being taught by a teacher of your child's ethnicity is slim to none if he/she is not white. Glad I cleared that up. This year I have noticed more testing with my child. My child has taken over 12 "assessments" in the span of 22 school days and if my child continues to test at this rate my child would have taken over 70 test by the end of the school year and that does not include Milestone, ITBS and/or TAG testing. MOE is teaching to test and sadly my child is more concerned with grades and test scores than he is learning. I have had good and not so good experiences at MOE, but the thing that annoys me the most is the overemphasis on testing. I found that certain teachers focus so much on test prep that communication, organization and the like is secondary. It is truly disappointing and I would urge all parents to pay attention to how testing affects their children's attitude towards learning and school overall.

Manning Oaks is an excellent school, bursting at the seams with diversity and teachers with a passion for education. The school community is reflective of our wonderful world and the various people who inhabit our globe. We are so grateful. Strong parental involvement ensures predictably heavy turnouts to special events. We'll miss MOE next year!

This school has more than impressed us with the quality of teachers and the administrative staff. They have made great progress to overcome a difficult time after a redistricting which changed the cross section of students from the community. This is a very diverse school with a great staff which is why it has gained a rating of 8 from the 6 after redistricting. Goes to show that a diverse student body with great support of teachers and focus from the administration can achieve a high level of success. Also, this school's PTA has become a great source resource for the school. They are growing and pushing for more parent involvement which is a challenge with the school's diversity; however the core group has done an outstanding job. The events held during this school year have been fantastic and have brought the school together for a lot of fun outside the classroom. Their turnouts for family events has been incredible and the response from parents and staff has been exciting. If you want your child to be immersed in a diverse community, challenging them academically while expanding their experiences, then Manning Oaks is the right school.

When we moved to alpharetta, we read reviews and did not want our child here. But after 1 school year my son who is 4th grader has improved in all subjects. I should say that the reachers have done a great job

I love the school infra structure,teaching,organisation and staffs.Staffs are so parent and student friendly.Teaching method is too good.My daughter is studying 1st grade here.She is too good and I am so impressed with her reading and writing skills.Teachers are so perfect and complete their syllabus with in the mentioned period and conducting unit tests once they have completed thier syllabus.Test papaers are sent home periodically and they are conducting parents meeting regularly.

My daughter is in first grade and this is her second year at Manning Oaks. The teachers are wonderful and helpful. The staff is nice. The new principle Mr Webb is great! We are very happy here and will continue on through 5th grade.

Our 4 children have attended MOE for the past 7 years (the oldest went there K thru 5th), and we love our school. The staff members are friendly and attentive, and we have gotten very good teachers each year. The teachers have communicated well, and been good educators and role models. My kids look forward to visiting past teachers at the start of each school year. The PTA is dedicated & active, offering a variety of activities. MOE's diversity is one of its strengths - as the community is very involved and welcoming. We have learned so much about other cultures, and our children have experienced the Real World - a mixture of friends and families from over 25 countries.

The school provides a welcoming and warm environment. The teachers and administration are top notch. The student population is very diverse, thus providing my daughter an opportunity to learn about other cultures. She looks forward to meeting her classmates and LOVES her teacher.

After visiting many elementary schools in Fulton county, I would say MOE is one of the best. The school is so welcoming with a great environment! The principal, teachers and counselors are dedicated to the students.
