As an expat we joined this school last October and was so impressed with the leadership and administration at the school. The first grade teacher has been very patient and communicates on where my child was needing help. My son looks forward to going to this school every single day and that shows that this team is doing a good job.

At the time of writing this review, New Prospect is receiving a 6/10 overall rating on Great Schools. As a parent with children at this school, I disagree strongly with that rating and want to offer some background. New Prospect is a WONDERFUL school.New Prospect has a very diverse student population both in ethnicity and socioeconomically. I think this is an advantage! However, because of that diversity, some of the student population includes new arrivals to our great country who can also be transient. These kids score below averages on standardized tests and may not attend long enough to show improvement over time. The reality of the score is that the district for the school includes a wide variety of housing...from economically priced apartments to $1 Million+ homes. "Great School" ratings are more a reflection of the demographic of the students and families zoned for attendance than anything else. While my family appreciates diversity of all kinds for our children, we think it is resulting in an unfairly low assessment of New Prospect.The quality of care and education and the capability and passion of the administration and teaching staff at this school cannot be beat. I highly recommend New Prospect Elementary.

New Prospect is a very good school, my daughter has ADHD and they help her to get all that she needs to success, teachers and administrators are the best. I'm so happy to be part on the Panther community.

Every single child is known at this school. In larger schools, there are some kids that you don't always get to know. The blessing of this smaller school is that teachers and staff can get to know the kids and help them succeed. At this school it is about Celebrate, Grow and Matter. You can really feel from the staff that even the smallest things are celebrated, and the kids are celebrated through their PBIS growth! These kids grow daily through their academics. If a child is struggling, someone in the building is on top of the situation. Everyone matters. The students in the building know that and it really helps the culture here. Students love to go and see their teachers from the previous year, they mattered and grew and are celebrated still. The admin is great and the front office staff also gets to know the kids. It truly is a family feel at this school.

Our daughter has had a wonderful experience at New Prospect. The teachers are fantastic - very engaged and caring. The leadership and especially counseling staff are exceptional. We have been especially impressed with their handling of remote school during COVID. We have not seen any significant gap in learning.

I’ve been at this school since my kid started Kindergarten in 2015, and now is in 5th. I have another child in 1st. My kids have both loved this school and I have, too. My experience has been wonderful all around. I have volunteered at the school in some capacity every year, from being a Classroom Asst. To the Teacher, Yearbook, community events, STEM lab, just about everything. I’ve seen first hand how teachers work and how the Principal runs her school, and I am so pleased. My 5th grader will be going into Middle School with the same confidence I have in her of being well prepared to take on her 6th grade year. She’s an on-level student, and has been pushed to make sure she doesn’t fall behind. Every teacher that any of my kids have had, have been phenomenal. They make sure the curriculum they set out to teach has been taught and the kids are ready to move to the next grade. My 1st grader has thrived, even with a speech 504 plan. He has improved and is loving school. I can’t say enough good things about this school and the community it represents. It’s very diverse, which I love. My kids get to see different cultures within our Alpharetta bubble. Our neighborhood is zoned to this school, and I’m really happy that we chose to live here.

We are very pleased with the experience our children are having at New Prospect. The teachers have been very communicative on progress and are our children wake up excited to go to school. The administration has handled the covid year as best as anyone can expect during a year of upheaval. We are very happy with our experience.

We moved to this school district from New Jersey in 2020. The school did an amazing job supporting our integration into the community and school even through the pandemic. The school’s flexible approach to schooling during the pandemic gave parents peace of mind while keeping cases and transmission low. When my kids needed extra support, teachers worked with me 1:1 (during school hours) to come up with a plan to help my kids. Our kids were recognized to be learning at a faster pace and were put into advanced/gifted programs. The staff makes sure that kids are placed in curriculum that supports their pace of learning. Overall, we highly recommend this school for their supportive staff, amazing leadership, and close knit community.

We love New Prospect Elementary and are so very thankful for our 3 children who will go through their young years here. We value the quality of education, multi-cultural experience, the true care/love/investment from the staff and teacher and the top notch communication towards us as families. We are proud Panthers and are so grateful to be a part of this Fulton County School.

I have had 2 children at NPES and they have had great teachers K-5! One of my children is in middle school now and was very well prepared. My other child needed a little extra attention and I believe the staff has been excellent at addressing his learning needs. The teachers and counselors are very attentive, caring, and challenging. And the area/culture is just fantastic as well as representative of the landscape in which we expect our children to thrive.

Our family has been very happy with New Prospect, especially the teachers as well as the administration. It is a small school and it feels that way - I feel very informed about the school values, curriculum and expectations. Our daughter loves and looks forward to going to school and learning, and also to the many specials offered and to library visits. We can't wait for our other daughter to join once she's old enough.
