Maybe they will improve the system. SpecialEducation staff does not seem to have any interest in educating this population. Administration is going to have to get involvedBecause the teachers are not effective . I would not recommend Denmark for Special needs population.

I have witnessed this school push through multiple students who have failed most of their classes. They give them a stupid assignment equivalent to writing a name on a piece of paper, and they suddenly pass the class! Or put the student in Apex and believe that the student finished an entire year of school work for a class they previously failed with a 95 in the Apex class with no teacher. Apex classes are an easy way to cheat through a class to get credit. The student learns nothing! The students at this school are graduating when they should not be to keep the school's graduation rate up. This school is failing these students miserably!

We came to Denmark after 10 years in private schools. We not only found the curriculum stronger and more varied at Denmark than the private schools in Forsyth County, but also Denmark offered a better overall academic and social environment to prepare our daughter for college and beyond.

Daughter graduated from Denmark in May 2023 and we couldn’t have been happier with the education, the atmosphere, and the overall experience. The administration and staff are top notch.

This school has top-tier classes and programs. The extracurricular opportunities are unmatched and ranked highly in the state and nation. College placement is incredible and students are prepared for long-term success in their lives. The sports programs are also excelling and the school is well-funded. Most staff members are extremely friendly and teachers are there to help students learn and succeed in a comfortable and safe environment.

The Principal, Mrs Kim Oliver, is very visible and involved. She is very responsive to parents and students. Students are encouraged and motivated to be their best in academics and in sport. Community outreach is great ! All their special programs like Art, Vet Science, Culinary Arts, Drama etc are excellent. Beautiful campus. Highly Recommended.

The academics are good for the neurotypical students. Special needs students have a huge gap and the program can use some real help here. If your child speaks English and is college bound , this is a good choice. We also like the programs available in hs for noncollege bound kids as well like their vet tech program , Cna , chef pathway. The principal is personable and interested in her students.
