    1. I don't live in aledo and they look at me fine. I live 30 minutes away in a small house that's messy and I can't have friends over because of that. My friends don't care if they can't come over(they don't know my house is messy though but they do know I live far away.) and if they could, they sounded eager to come over to my house. 2. It's true most of the population is christian( probably 99%) and I am too. Though I have a friend who is Muslim and she isn't bullied. 3. I have not had experience with the gay and lesbian stuff for I don't recall anyone who is. Though it's against the bible for 99% of the population is christian. Now before you go off thinking I'm defending everyone in aledo, you're wrong. I am defending those who deserve it because there are snobby people in aledo. But you guys are putting all of us under one category.I don't have a problem with the old building personally. I don't see why you should either I mean are you from west lake or something? And you get to retry for a 70 only in middle school. They're trying to smoothly transition to real life. No babying. For the most part, ams is a great school and trading it in for another school would break me.

I wish I knew what I know now about Aledo Schools. DO NOT move to Aledo because of the schools as we did. They are NOT friendly to previous homeschoolers and if you are not from Aledo, you might as well be from Mars. Horrible schools that do not teach your kids, but make sure they cannot fail. They are doing an injustice to our kids by allowing them to take tests until they get at least a 70. This is not the real world and they certainly are NOT getting them ready for college. Its a joke!!

This school is horrible, the people are bullies they will judge you for every little thing you will do. You will get bullied if you don't believe in God or if you are not straight, IT'S is also very difficult. Don't recommended for people who like to express them self in different ways.

Excellent athletics and coaches. Still getting used to the principal so might need some more time with that one. Lost our great one to the High School:( Academics are good, kids and families are great.

My daughter attended 6th grade in Aledo and then half of 7th grade at AMS. We went from a very nice, clean, spacious newer building to an old, overcrowded, in need of repair, building in the middle school. Compared to all the other facilities for Aledo schools, this from what I have seen is the worst. I was very disappointed in the building. It appears to be possibly the original high school building from years ago which they eventually passed down the the middle school. They have added portions on for administration, but the school portion and cafeteria are all original. There are TONS of kids there - overcrowded and stressful. So much so that I pulled out my child to homeschool mid year. I wish they would put even a small portion of $ into the middle school as much as they put into the high school, like the new 9th grade giant campus they just built. I think we as residents which children attending the school should do something to expand or start a new middle school facility, better laid out to handle all these students - start a fund. The teachers and staff however are GREAT and I think everyone there really has been wonderful. I just wish the building were different.
