My son has been there 2 yrs. This school has done everything they can do to accommodate my child's unique needs.

I will give Sunrise a 3 because my daughter has always adored her teachers. On the other hand in the 4 years my daughter has attended this school her grades seem to be slipping further behind every year. When she didn't understand something she was left behind. I had to pay for a online tutoring program to help her keep somewhat up. Lastly why was there only 1 sheet of math a week plus nightly reading for 3rd grade. No spelling, writing etc?? Sadly we will be moving her to a new school for 4th grade.

I am only giving this school a three and not a lower score because my daughter LOVED her 2nd grade teacher Mrs. B. My daughter has special needs and Mrs. B was fabulous with her and really kept my child in line and in turn helped her maintain. Her 3rd grade teacher would constantly remove my child from class and put her in the library by herself or sit her in the principals office. My daughter has an IEP and we asked so many time for extra help as she needed a helper to keep her on task and it always fell on deaf ears or comments about not having funding. After 3 years at that school we gave up moved so she could have a better education. If you have special needs children thing long and hard about the lack of services you will receive. Thanks.

Sunrise has the most caring teachers I've ever dealt with. They take the time to address each student and cater to their individual needs. They make learning fun and it makes the kids want to grow. The P.T.T. is the best group of parents. They are welcoming and enjoy helping the kiddos and the teachers. They have a wonderful staff there and If we ever move out of district I would drive my kids there.
