This is the second year my child attends this school. It has been nothing but positives and I have been super happy with both of his teachers. They absolutely care and it shows. He also rides the bus, and I adore the driver. She keeps everyone in line, aka SAFE, and adores her riders. The way my child is excited over school has this mama really happy.

Most of the teachers here are awful. They treat these kids like soldiers. My oldest couldn't even say hi to his kindergarten brother on the first day of school. They are not friendly whatsoever. My kindergartener would use it on himself almost every day and they'd call me to pick him up. After a week or two I withdrew him, enrolled him at a private school, and never had an issue. My 3rd grader would come home crying most of the time because of how her teacher treated her. She felt as if she hated her. When she was in 1st grade she made straight F's. But when she repeated the grade she made straight A's. She had a fabulous 1st grade teacher the second go round (Ms. Lee). She was also accused of stealing things from the classroom when it was untrue. They made her cry from the way they demanded for her to confess that she just said she did it (this was 2nd grade). I removed my children from this school and they are now thriving at a much better place.

My children started at Leblanc in kindergarten. They are now in 4th and 2nd grade. The faculty and staff are fantastic. They genuinely love their job and it shows. They go above and beyond in the care for the students. Parent involvement is very high. It is not pushed, but parents willingly offer to participate in school activities and help in the classroom. As a newer school in the parish, Leblanc has continued to improve every year. I remain impressed and glad I chose this school district.

My children are new to LeBlanc Elementary this year. However, I am very impressed thus far with the way situations are handled. They are truly reaching out to the children and giving them an authentic education. By authentic I mean they have the children very involved, especially starting with 3rd grade. The teachers my children have are very dedicated. The Principal and Asst. Principal are VERY professional. They do not encourage a lot of parent volunteerism but I think this lends to a more professional environment. I am fine with this...they can hire people who are fair to do what needs to be done. And from what I have seen, they are very fair. The parents I have met have been very nice. I am coming from a school where the parents would bully and kept themselves involved in decision making....this school is NOT like that. As I type this, the school has a 5 out of 10 on Great Schools. I am surprised but I am sure this grade will improve as time goes on. New schools sometimes have some growing pains in the beginning. I have been to the counselor twice this year for situations that have come up. Both were handled by the end of the day! I am IMPRESSED!!!!
