My Daughter struggles with learning due to the encounter’s she has with teachers and staff. She has been bullied, harassed and effected negatively by the other students. Signing my daughter into this school has changed our lives and many others in clear negative and disappointing ways. I do not recommend attending a school like this one , you should consider moving on to a different environment. Thank you and have a very good day.

Horrible!!!! Teachers don't care about the kids passing their tests. They never inform you if an incident happens with your child. Principal never calls back.

Please don't sent your child to this school. The principal doesn't do her job right. The bullying in the school and on the bus is out of control. You leave a message with the principal and she doesn't get back to you at all. You go in to meet with the principal because she doesn't call you back and she is in a meeting. No child should have to go to school worried if they are going to be bullied.

Foxfire/ William Boyce Thompson used to be a great school. The change in leadership from Dr. Solomene to Dr. Washington was the beginning of the end. Where parents and their involvedness was welcome with Solomene, Washington seemingly avoids parents. This entire school year solely catered to state testing, there were limited school projects, and no homework throughout the year. Core teachers were repeatedly absent, leaving entire classes in the hands of a constant substitute, who did nothing more than allow the children 3- 4 play breaks a day, or divided the class between other classes. The mandatory uniform policy was enforced for the first few weeks. School lunch was deplorable- strawberry yogurt and cinnabons on most days, stale pizza on others. The school is always running a fundraiser of some sort, or charging the kids for events, yet the money collected is never accounted for. Contacting Washington on any given day will result in her not being available, gone for the day, or in a meeting off campus. I am very disappointed with the turn the school has taken and would not recommend the facility to family or friends.

Dr. Washington can't control the school even with an assistant principal in the building. Please think twice about sending your child to this school.

This school always has been a great school in a great area with wonderful teachers . Communication with parents and teachers is open. But this year we have revived a new principal Mrs. Washgton whom came from scholastic public school she did not have great reviews, she came to foxfire and has cut all communication with parents and teachers .. Must go through her first. She feels strong about uniforms and a talent shows. She refuses to let parents in the building talks to us as we are uneducated. I have seen her talk to her staff in a disrespectful manner. Many parents have complained and pulled their kids out.

My child is currently in the Pre-K half day program and Mrs. Barrasso is a wonderful teacher. She is prepared daily with lesson plans for the children that always have meaning to each month or season oe holiday. They learn to write all their letters and they write sentences. She focus's on site words and she makes everything very interactive for the children. She does an amazing job at this school and I am glad to have her. Parents need to be more involved with their children (and they are not at this school) and learning and with a teacher like Mrs. Barrasso your child will exceed all expectations !
