Saint Anthony School is honestly a fantastic place for kids to learn and grow. It’s not just about hitting the books; they really get how important it is to have a good time while learning. The teachers genuinely care about the kids and make sure learning is fun and meaningful. What’s really cool about Saint Anthony is how involved the parents are. It’s not just about keeping an eye on their own kids; they look out for everyone. It creates this family vibe that makes you feel welcome right off the bat.The curriculum is super engaging and interactive, and it hits the mark for each grade level, which is awesome. Plus, the teachers are always on point with communication, so parents are in the loop and can really be part of the education process. All in all, Saint Anthony School is a great place because everyone is working together toward the same goal: making sure the kids not only learn but also feel nurtured and cared for. It’s like a big family working together, and who wouldn’t want that for their child?

We could not be happier with the progress we have seen in our children academically and as individuals since starting with St. Anthony's School. You can feel the passion and dedication the faculty has towards our children. We are grateful to be a part of the SAS family/community.

I cannot say enough positive things about St Anthony School (SAS). The teachers are incredibly loving and attentive, fostering a nurturing environment for the children to thrive. I have seen first hand how my children have excelled in this school. Not only have their academic skills improved significantly, but their confidence and love for learning has also grown. I am extremely impressed with the quality of education provided by SAS. The teachers are highly knowledgeable and dedicated to their students' success. They go above and beyond to ensure that each child is challenged and supported to reach their full potential.Principal Riley is truly exceptional, with a clear passion for making the school the best it can be. Based on his extensive Catholic School career experience in the NY Archdiocese, he has a tremendous amount of resources he is using to bring fresh and innovative ideas for the benefit of the SAS community. It's evident Principal Riley and all teaching/administrative staff go above and beyond to ensure the happiness and success of every student. What sets this school apart is the strong sense of community among the families. It's a close-knit and supportive group, which creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The children are not only happy but also excited to come to school every day. Not to mention all of the field trips and extra curricular activities offered! I am so grateful to have found this school for my children. It's truly a gem in our community, and I highly recommend it to any parent looking for a school that prioritizes their faith, well-being and education of their children.

My son started in this school in the superb pre-k three program where he excelled and fully developed. Since then, he has had wonderful and caring teachers as he has moved up in the school and is currently in the seventh grade. It is true that this school has gone through many challenges but currently has Mr. Riley as principal, who is bringing in his vast knowledge from his previous school positions and is making St. Anthonys thrive under his leadership. The teachers we have in St. Anthony's care about the growth of their students, meeting several times during the month to discuss MAP testing scores/grades, etc. to see how they can better support their students and enhance their learning. St. Anthonys is not all about learning, we are about having fun as well. That is where the HSA comes in with some great events to fundraise. The HSA was able to replace all the school water fountains with events like a Walk-a-Thon, Halloween Trunk a Treat/Dance, Breakfast with Santa, Pocketbook Bingo, Scholastic Book Fair, and Turkey Trot Raffles to name a few. St. Anthony offers various programs such as dance, robotics, bowling, and band. We have a fantastic sports program run by parents that has even led to the Boys JV and Varsity volleyball teams winning in their divisions two years in a row. Some basketball teams make it to the playoffs year after year. We have a pep rally at the beginning of the basketball season to cheer the teams on which the whole school gets involved. St. Anthony is a very good school and Mr. Riley is going to do great things for this school. Mr. Riley and the teachers together are making St. Anthonys the school the number one school in Yonkers.

I transferred my children to Saint Anthony School from a previous school where there was a significant lack of communication and collaboration with parents. At Saint Anthony School, I found a refreshing change. The principal, Mr. Riley, prioritizes open lines of communication and encourages parental involvement. The staff is proactive in keeping parents informed about school events, curriculum updates, and student progress. This level of collaboration has made me feel more connected to my children's education and has fostered a strong sense of community within the school. I am grateful to have found a supportive and inclusive environment at Saint Anthony School.

What an amazing school! I recently transferred my son mid year to St. Anthony School. The transition has been smooth. The school is welcoming and I have a child that returns home daily excited about what he’s learned and eager to return to school. Principal Riley greets every child and family every morning at the school entrance. The faculty are warm, encouraging and welcoming. My son left a school where teachers yelled daily and he was prohibited from talking during lunch. Since transferring to Saint Anthony, he comments about how wonderful the teachers are, and how he’s yet to hear one teacher yell at a child. Instead, he sees teachers speak to students even when they do not follow rules. I’m impressed with the curriculum and quality teaching. My some returns home excited about what he’s learned and the approach to teaching. They have a science lab, robotics club, Spanish speaking instruction, music and arts (you have the see the sculptures the kids created!) I could not be happier about the decision to transfer my son to Saint Anthony. They recently had their holiday extravaganza show and it was spectacular. You could see the faculty invested time and energy to support the students in putting on an impressive performance. Teachers have commented about how they feel the principal works with them as opposed to working for him. I’m grateful to have joined such a welcoming and engaging school community and look forward to keeping my son at SAS until he graduates.

My two daughters attend SAS and I’ve never been happier. They are happy, it is a close community of children, parents and teachers that all care about each other and most importantly, put the students first. Both of my daughters enjoy learning and are very smart and advanced in comparison to some of their peers. The teachers are responsive and nurturing and truly want the children to excel. Lastly, Mr.Riley is the best thing that could have happened to SAS, he has to many ideas and resources to make SAS the best Catholic school in our area. I’m so proud to be a part of the community and my kids tell us often that they never want to leave. Truly, as a parent, that’s all you can hope for.

Very biased. I have noticed if certain teachers aren’t fond of u, ur child is being examined constantly. They have favorites. I , noticed “special treatment “ to some students while “certain “students would be called out in front of peers, reported to the office ridged treatment for age appropriate behaviors.. Your child personality doesn’t work for them becomes an issue..TheTuition 8k a year , their educators need toImprove. Starting young age theyWill have a 5 year old to pre teen “labeled”Social worker come on Any child under 10 will have emotional encounters . Teachers should understand that.Furthering misinformation to families inexperienced, trusting the school’s perception on their child. This is Continuing throughout the grades. I even watch a teacher and assistant chuck a child’s poster placed kindergartner after the family left..If you are not liked, ur child will feel it. I removed my child after 3 years with them. ItDidn’t feelGoodFor my family. They milk you, they don’t treat the kids unconditionally and evenly. Ridiculous meetings about ridiculous matters. They ask ask ask never anything nice for kids / parents. They force u pay for events and raffles. It’s rather disgusting after paying basically 10k a year including lunches and other activities. If ur young parents do not send ya child. If ur minority , your child is being extra watch. We were told they will have a new principal hopefully he will change the atmosphere. Good luck in your child’s school searching.

I have had a child in St Anthony School since she was in Pre-K 3. (She is now in middle school). The small classes really helps children excel and provides students with extra help if needed. Students receive many extra’s such as Catapault learning to help if they are struggling. There are many activities, sports, fun things as well as a good academic foundation starting from PreK3! The new principal (as of 2020) is really helpful and personable. The teachers treat the students as they would their own. They do fun activities to help these students learn in different ways. My child has grown to be an independent, confident child and this is partly from attending this great school. This is not only a school but the administration and teachers provide a family like atmosphere.

After 10 years at this school, leaving was my happiest moment. My high school is so much better and I wish I had left sooner. I have to work a lot harder due to lack of education at St. Anthonys but I never want to go back there. that place was torture for me and I was never targeted myself. For those who aren't favored, it'll be much worse.

Please direct your attention to the "Leadership" portion of this review. Unless it conveniently gets reported and removed by her again in fear that she won't make more money. Thats IS all she cares about anyway!

This is a small school. It is not for everyone. There is not a diverse community of students but this is an excellent school if you want your child in a small class environment. Each child is given direct attention. If you are looking for a large classroom then this is not the place for you. If your child sneezes the entire grade will know. This is good for some families but not for others. Your child's teacher will know them personally and I think that those who are complaining about the school have issues because sometimes a small school does become to close for comfort. My son is here and he excels. I appreciate the individualized attention and he has grown and done well in the small environment we choose to put him in. The only downsize is because the school is small, there is not a variety of activities or friends to choose from. Other than that this is a great school for those who want a more personal touch.

My kids LOVE this school. The friendships they have made throughout the years are just as strong and solid as the teachers that educate them. They come home happy everyday and that is the most important thing to me. The teachers have gone above and beyond for my kids. Definitely WAY "above average." THANK YOU TO MS. CICCARELLI MRS DELAURENTIS MR MCFADDEN AND MS WATSON !!!! Amazing staff!!!!

This school needs a major overhaul of it's staff and methods - they allow teachers of poor qualifications (ex. Sr. Theresa for PreK) to run classes; have overly large class sizes and a principal who runs the school like it's still 1975. They do not have the interests of the child in mind and ignore parents' input or recommendations. I wish my son never went here.
