My son loves the school, he has made a lot of academic progress and that makes me happy. I don't know why the score is so low compared to others. I dare say it is one of the best schools.

This is one of the best, yet underrated schools in the Yonkers Public Schools District. The teachers and staff genuinely care about the well-being and education of the students, and work with the community to ensure a safe and happy environment for our children to grow and learn. The principal, Dr. Yazurlo, has worked tirelessly to bring joy, love and fun educational activities to this school.

The community at School 9 is amazing, I love the staff there. My daughter’s progress has developed tremendously, she had a problem with her speech, and in 6 months I saw a big change in her speech, she wouldn't stop talking, I loved that. Nowadays, I would not allow the school to close, we need this school the classes are amazing as well as the staff and the director. One thing I would mention is that safety is my top priority at the school, with everything that is happening right now, I would love for the school to increase the safety and security of the kids in school 9. I would love for my daughter to keep attending the amazing school 9.

My experience with school 9 and my kids has been amazing. The principal Ms Yazurlo is amazing at running this school.The teachers are all great never a complaint about themMs Van Wright an awesone teacher.She's my son's 1st grade teacher always sends me updates on his progress. Ms Riccuiti another amazing teacher. my daughter's 4th grade teacher. Keeps me posted on all her achievements Everyone in this school is always involved and work together with the families and their children Keep up the great work!!

I love how the teachers get to know your children as individuals and push them to levels they can and should achieve. My daughter first grade teacher, Ms. VanWright is an excellent example of this quality. Ms. VanWright have improved my child learning by teaching a curriculum grounded in academic standards as well as creating a very supportive climate. School 9 is Awesome!

School 9 has always been a neighborhood school. I have lived here for 35 years. It is the best kept secret! They have the best faculty and staff. Children are treated with respect. They enter and leave happy. The principal is always bringing in new and exciting programs. Keep up the good work!!!!

School 9 and it’s staff are one of the most dedicated, ethical, professional and best of all supportive team our daughter and nephew are a part of. We cannot ask for a much lovable and incredible group of talented teachers and faculty of school 9!! Every one from the principal to the security are down to earth and humble people. We are blessed to be a part of the school and am grateful for every single staff member. Thank you all for your immense support! God bless school 9 and it’s staff!

For my son’s first year in this school I couldn’t be more satisfied. He has learned so much and has been more interactive at home. From his writing skills to his knowledge on ABC, math etc. He has advanced and surprised us a lot. His teachers are very informative, respectful and caring with us through class dojo and when being picked up from school, from the first day of school until now. This school is attentive, caring and very responsible. I wouldn’t without a doubt not recommend this school to anyone.

This School is one of the best schools in Yonkers! Mrs.Alibasic is the best teacher my daughter has ever had! I’ve never seen my child progress and strive until she started attending school 9. The Principle Mrs.Yazurlo is doing an amazing job. They always communicate any issues and concerns, they come up with a plan and a solution and always follow up. Keep up the amazing job! This school actually does care about students!

This school is really great and has improved throughout the years. From the principal to the teachers and the administrators. The teachers are extremely approachable, dedicated and care about the well-being of the students. They truly go above and beyond to ensure your child is successful.

I have 3 children who go to this school, and I love it!!! I love all of their teachers, the staff works like a family together, and they do an excellent job of taking care of all of the children there! One of my daughters did experience being bullied by one other girl last year in 5th grade. The principle and teachers addressed it quickly, professionally and compassionately, and I was incredibly thankful for them!! My kids are happy every day, all of their teachers have been awesome, it's a cute, nice elementary school!! :)

My daughter is currently in the fifth grade and has attended this school since PreK. I can honestly say I have nothing negative to say. Each and every teacher has been more than great and very involved in her studies and overall achievement. From what I recall there's been about 3 different principals throughout her years here and Mrs. Thiam has been one of the best! Mrs. VanWright is also actively involved in awards, presentations, after-school activities, etc. I can sit here and personally write out every teacher I've encountered but they're all equally great. Pride of School 9!

This school is HORRIBLE most of the teachers I find to be great teachers, the pta president is a mess and does NOTHING for the school, administration SUCKS, they are so concerned with the outside appearance of the school but are doing nothing for the inside of it fire alarms are NOT IN SERVICE!!!!!! this whole place is just filled with ignorance and just flat out PATHETIC unfortunately to submit this comment I have to give it a star rating my honest rating is ZERO stars
