discrimination against children with IEPs, the principal does not show interest in this child and will not make them in school because he says that his school is a 5 star school, that every child has to be at the educational level, they will not make children with different educational levels because according to the affects the school

My daughter has attended Sacred Heart Grade School for two years (PrepK 4 and Kindergarten.) The teachers are excellent! We've had Ms. May (PreK4) and Ms. Suazo (Kindergarten); they are both such caring, devoted teachers! My daughter has flourished! She received all of the help she needed to grow! Everyone is welcoming, and the community is tight-knit. Teachers and administration handle the situations quickly and swiftly and work hard to create a positive school culture. The work has been rigorous so far, and my daughter is challenged adequately. Of course, I hope to see more arts programs, STEM, and languages since we're moving in that direction in society. Still, I can see the school is starting to involve parents (my noticing from one year to the next) in school and extra-curricular activities. I hope to see more color around the building (classrooms are beautiful, but hallways, etc.)

the worst principal, discriminates against kids w disabilities. and everyone around them discriminates against children with EIP and does not place them in their school without even giving the child the opportunity. I do not recommend it at all and their secretary is terrible, they do not even try to help the parents.

My experience of Sacred Heart is quite different from the negative responses posted here. I have been in this school since Pre-K 3 and I have had a positive experience. I am happy with the decision my mom made to send me here. I have made great friends here. The teachers are funny and have given me an awesome education. The teachers are always willing to explain things when I don't understand. They encourage us to do our best. They try very hard to make what we're learning fun and interesting. The teachers are also willing to help afterschool if needed. We have fun activities such as themed dress down days like Crazy hat and socks, 80's Day, Mix match day, Favorite Team Day., School Bingo, Spirit Day and many more fun days. We also have very nice school counselors that we can talk to if we need them. I love my school. It is a very friendly, family atmosphere. It is my home away from home. I feel safe here.

Teachers do not teach us enough. They give us packets and worksheets instead of getting up and actually teaching. The math teacher is the only one who actually teaches us and breaks down everything we don't know. They don't allow certain kids to do things but than let other kids do certain things.

My daughter has gone to the school now for almost 3 years and it’s been a blessing. The teachers and student body make for a welcoming learning environment that allows baby girl to flourish in more ways than academic.

I highly recommend Sacred Heart grade school. My daughter went to this school and is now a junior in high school. She learned valuable leadership skills while learning at her own pace. The teachers are truly invested in my child’s education and growth as a learner. Adjustments are made as needed to meet the needs of the student. Small class sizes and leveled learning have enabled my child to gain confidence in her learning abilities. My niece currently attends SHGS and loves every bit as a kindergartener. The smile on her face when picking her up from school is priceless!The administration is open minded and they think outside the box to make SHGS a successful educational experience for the students. SHGS is committed to the whole child. They teach value lessons, communication and leadership skills.If you want to give your child(ren) a stellar education while they are nurtured to be their best, most confident selves then I encourage you to seek out this school.

My daughter absolutely loves SHGS and so do my husband and I! The teachers and the principal are extremely organized, they care about the students, and make the environment feel like you’re part of a family; a special community helping the future generation. I have 0 complaints. A huge shout out to Ms. Straehle and Ms. Mandile for always sending updates and pictures of my princess, EJR, throughout the day. I can tell how much they both love and care for all their students and how passionate they are about the work they do. Knowing this makes the work day so much easier on me; knowing my princess is in good hands for so many hours of the day. Another huge shout out to the after school crew; Ms. Beth, Ms. Lopez, Ms. May. Thank you for caring for all the kids as if they were your very own. The love and protection they provide for the children is top notch. God bless SHGS!

My children are having a way better experience than I had in Catholic School in the 80s. They genuinely care. My son is mildly autistic and they welcomed him with open arms. He’s doing great today because of their support.

Excellent School as a whole. Very united staff that is truly there to bring out the best in our children. I can only speak of a positive experiences my son has had in this school. This is truly a place where you can see your child flourish to there best capabilities. Thank you for always having a comfortable environment for my son!!!

Great school and great community feel. Teachers and principal really love and care for the students. We have three of our kids there. We went to another school to test the waters and then came right back here by February of that year.

Sacred Heart Grade School is a great institution. What I like the most is that it’s a diverse school. Both my children attended the school and I couldn’t be more happy with the quality of education they received. Teachers are always there for their students working side by side with them to reach their goals. I will recommend this school to anyone looking for a great education for their children.

This school is amazing! Knew it from the moment I brought my child there for PreK3! Now a 5th grader I have developed great relationships with all the teachers and the principal is very approachable and available. She is outside every morning greeting parents and students and any minor concerns are handled swiftly and properly. Feels like a close family all the teachers know all the parents and students personally and remarkable the way COVID was handled. My child was physically in school where all the rest were remote. No reason this school should be rated less than 5! My child is so comfortable and trusts every teacher there and tells me all the time that she would never want to go anywhere else. Grateful they are here and keep my child safe

Sacred Heart is an AWESOME school! The students are caring and kind. The teachers are extremely dedicated and hardworking. What they pulled off during COVID speaks volumes! Sacred Heart made sure the children felt as safe and normal as possible during the pandemic. The principal is a FANTASTIC leader! She is always available to meet with students and parents. I love how the students go to Mass together once a month. I would recommend this school 100 times over!

I have 2 kids in this school. They are in grade 2 and grade 6. My kids both love this school and they are doing very well academically and as great model students. The teachers are exceptional in student engagement and discipline. As a parent I like that they are accommodating and always put the kids safety first in all their rules and policies. I would recommend this school 150%.
