They put identity politics above learning, above safety and above IEP. They will punish for liberal talking points at the detriment of student learning and student safety.

My child has attended Cornerstone since first grade. She has loved each year more and more! The teachers are caring and compassionate and truly know how to push each student to their fullest capability. My child has had all of the support, and then that she needs.

I have had two sons "graduate" from Cornerstone Elementary. They still talk about their wonderful experience. They love to see past teachers and often wish they were still at Cornerstone. The staff helped my children grown and learn every day. They were lucky to spend their elementary years with the staff at Cornerstone.

My child attended this school for 5 years. Things seemed to be going pretty well until 4th grade. After completing 3rd grade successfully, and getting excellent grades in 4th, we were told that he wasn't capable of learning beyond a 2nd grade level. We switched schools within the district and he went into general education. Now, in mid 7th with full integration, he is on the merit roll. He has learned to eat with non disabled peers in the school cafeteria and his transition plan includes 4 year college. I would be very leery of sending a child with disabilities to this school and if we could do it over we would have removed him long before we did. I tried for years to volunteer and become active with PTO and couldn't get a call back. Principals do not seem to stay long. In our experience the teaching staff is hit or miss. Only one of the gen ed teachers my son had seemed to care to learn about autism... others, even those who signed his IEP didn't seem to know how to read one or how to fulfill their obligations in regard to the IEP. I do not recommend this school for students with special education needs.
