We have been in this school for almost 4 complete school years now. I was a little hesitant moving from another school in the district at first because of some low ratings. However I have come to change my mind. The teachers my children have had are amazing. They are always in contact and make sure we know what is going on. While there is a large push for testing, as I’m sure there is with all schools, the students seem to be thriving. Even throughout Covid and a lockdown and remote learning, our children seemed to grow and thrive. I would for sure recommend this school to others

This school only cares about the test scores. The test program is pushed to be fine at home even when your child has been verbal out his dislike for how boring the test is. There does not appear to be any authentic learning going on in the classroom. Reading books is not being shown as important. Doing reading on a program that allows them to play games is not a way to encourage a live for reading. We moved last year to this school and if we could do it over we would not move here. If you have a choice stay away from this school!

The teachers and staff at Sipley are top notch! They genuinely care for each of the students and work with them as individuals to ensure the best learning for everyone. They also work very deliberately on social development, creative learning opportunities, and family/community involvement. The quality of this school is not reflected in state test scores but on the faces of the children who enjoy learning and are enthused about going to school.

Great school and great teachers. I feel that my child is very safe. Lots of teachers always involved and watching out, especially during child drop off and pick up.

It is a wonderful supportive school where the teachers, support staff and the principal are all great role models that create such a caring, nurturing environment for our children. We are very fortunate as the school is progressive with Common Core standards and technology. We are continually growing and trying to achieve various goals especially in reading and math.

Our kids just started at Sipley fall 2011. The facilities seem up to date and faculty seems to have the credentials to make it a great school. However we have had better first impressions. 1.) We were not notified which Kindergarten class (AM or PM )they would be in until the day before they started. 2.) Registration was understaffed and took two hours after going through pre-registration 3.) The first days of class there were scheduling and busing issues. 4.) Faculty is in a rush to answer your questions and get you out the door. I truly hope things improve or it looks like we are pulling the kids and sending them to Montessori school or moving away from Woodridge.

Our oldest granddaughter as well as her sister go to Sipley & it's nice to know they are getting a good education in a safe and caring school! Woodridge schools was one of the reasons we moved here many years ago and Sipley is one of the best in the district!

I am a parent and now a grandparent of children who have attended/are attending Sipley School. Since 1981 I have had the pleasure of watching Sipley School evolve into a diverse community of learners who are served by a dedicated and passionate educational staff. The school provides a caring culture with a rigorous and challenging curriculum.

John L.Sipley School has a very warm, child friendly environment. The principal, teachers and other staff members are very caring. Sipley rightly follows the " No child left behind" motto. I like the way emphasis is laid on reading, together with other sublects. Also, all areas of child growth are given importance. Thank You Sipley.
