  This is the third year my son is at Lockhurst, been there since TK, and he is doing great. The teachers are super supportive and there is an awesome parent community. They have a bunch of community events like Movie and Math and Art nights.

  I love that school all my kids went to that school and and my little one still there. The teachers and the principal are amazing.

  School don't care about your child. Children are mean. My child was alone all the time, we were new. We moved a lot and this is the worst school my children went. I will never recommend this school.

  My child goes to Kindergarten and his teacher Ms.Hernandez is truly amazing. It an art to be a teacher to young children and I am truly amazed by the way the teachers run the class, the teachers make it fun and at the same time help them learn, teach good habits, teach what is acceptable and what is not along the way. The school staff are all very friendly and they make you feel welcome. Ms. Dacorsi is hands on and I’ve literally seen her on the ground working with other staff distributing materials in hot sun! The school is very good in communication and I feel all of them are very sincere and they give their best all the time. I am very happy we found this school and the teacher.

  I gave it five stars. I've peeked behind the curtain and was shocked to see the hours and hard work its teachers put in. I want to be in my child's class! Sad to see parents negatively comment on a sad situation that was forced on all of us. Teachers are the front line, trying to stay positive, trying to deliver curriculum, yet they have to read comments like below from parents in the "back seat" that could never pull off what they expect of teachers. I thought I had the "smartest kid in the school"...

  Great school! Both of my sons loved/love all of their teachers, and I am very pleased with the academic instruction they have received as gifted learners. Lockhurst has supportive and dedicated staff, and I just love the fact that everyone seems to know my children by name. Lockhurst is like a family, and we are happy and blessed to be a part of it!

  Had to move one of the smartest kids in the school to Welby because of the ineptitude and lack of knowledge and leadership from the teachers to the principal. This school is TERRIBLE.

  We are so proud and fortunate to be a part of this school. We joined mid year after a disappointing first semester at a nearby school. Our experience has been night and day. The principal and assistant principal are so knowledgeable, accessible and caring. The two teachers we’ve experienced have both been amazing, and among the best we’ve ever had (preK to 4th grade). Our child is happy and that matters to this administration. Test scores rank among the highest in the area. The PTO is super involved, top notch and genuinely cares. What a phenomenal elementary school culture.

  This is a great school academically and socially. Honestly, it's underrated. Kids at this school excel in all areas.

  We are thrilled with Principal and teachers at this school - plus, the PTO takes a serious interest in ensuring the teachers and students are taken care of - providing great programs and support.

  A+! It's a hidden gem of a school. The small size of the school allows for more personalized attention to the students. Teachers and faculty that I don't even know will say hi to my kids as we're doing drop off, and the PTO funds some great extra programs and events for the students to help them get the best experience possible. We feel very lucky to have stumbled on Lockhurst. It's been a great fit for our family!

  I am very happy with my child's education - teachers, staff, administration are all supportive of student success. The PTO is very active and is very focused on teacher needs, as well as providing support for students in funding programs no longer paid for by the school district.

  Lockhurst is a great school. They emphasize all aspects of academics social behavior and being a good person overall. From the teachers to the Principal there's a feeling that your child is important and accepted to the Lockhurst Lions family. Even after a fun summer camp, our child was very excited to start school again.

  My son absolutely loved his first year at Lockhurst and we're looking forward to the next 5 years here for him.
