I could not be more pleased with the foundation that HGS is helping me lay for my children's future. Academically, my children are higher achieving and they continue to be challenged in their classroom. I could not be more excited about the group of faculty that we currently have. The staff is made up of experienced teachers who want to be teaching at HGS. Socially, my children are actively enrolled in school activities, involved in the community and participate on travel athletic teams which allows them to be exposed to and learn how to successfully navigate through social situations that they will need for life. Their behavior is held to a standard that I partner at home and believe to be a key to a lifetime of goodness in their future family, community and career. I once thought that there were positives and negatives to small class size, but I am telling you that 7 years into our experience at HGS, I am happy that I made the decision to send my children here and I do not see any negatives! As parents we are all doing what we think is best for our children, and I do not hesitate to tell you, I believe that sending my kids to Holy Ghost School is the best that I can do for mine.

We have been a HGS family for nearly 8 years! Currently, we have 3 children attending HGS! We can honestly say that we have watched this school community grow over the years. With new administration this year, we are very confident in the success of the school and we are excited to see exactly what the future holds. This is not just the place where my children go to school, this is the place where we feel comfortable, the place where my children jump out of the car in the morning to get to class, the place where everyone knows the names of all 3 of my children, the place where my children would be devastated to leave. The teachers have been nothing but supportive and nurturing. Communication has been easy and if ever I've had questions someone has always been there to help! All 3 of my children are excelling in their classes and have been pushed to show their true potential. We love HGS and would recommend this school to anyone! Forever Flames!

When we moved here a bout a year and half ago we carefully researched the education options for our children. We choose Holy Ghost for my younger daughter due to the student to teacher ratio, the faith based curriculum, and vast variety of extra curricular opportunities offered. Now that we have been part of the Holy Ghost family for a little over a year we could not be happier! My daughter is excelling in her classes, has made some amazing friends, and loves the no cut sports and activities opportunities. When we registered my older daughter in the local High School her counselor raved about how prepared Holy Ghost students were for High School. She also shared that the teachers can always tell the former Holy Ghost students by their exceptional writing skills. My daughter loves coming to school each day, and that is saying a lot for a middle school student. Holy Ghost has truly exceeded our expectations!

We couldn't be more happy about the school. Our son loves to get up and go to HG. We started in the middle of preschool, now we are in 1st grade. Educational standards are high but not only that. HG teaches kids how to be humble, appreciative, kind an d so on... Kids start reading well at the end of K. Middle of 1st grade; it seems like every kid can pick up an adult boom and read it. same with math.... Holy Ghost is a really good school. Well worth the money. All families are nice, there is no bullying, atmosphere is great, A++++

Jestesmy jedna z licznych polskich rodzin w Holy Ghost.

If you are looking for a school with small classes, rigorous academics, caring and professional teachers and staff look no further than Holy Ghost. My son loves going to school in the morning! What I like about the school is how all the staff and faculty know the names of every student. That makes the children very comfortable when it is time to transition from one class to another. The principal is great and very involved.

Like you, I m a parent that wants the best for my children. I have 3 children that have graduated from HGS. My older daughters went on to graduate in the top 5% of their HS class, score in the 30 s on the ACT, attend U of I, and are on their way to successful careers. My third child starts HS enrolled in every accelerated class available. My point? If you want the best possible education for your children (and why else would you be reading this?), in my opinion, Holy Ghost School is the place for them. There is a perception that private schools with waiting lists must be the best schools. Absolutely not. They have teachers with the same experience, getting paid the same amount. The difference? Teacher to student ratio. Does your child has a better chance of succeeding at school with one teacher managing 35+ students or one teaching 20 students? Small is a Big Deal is more than a catch phrase for us, it is what separates HGS from the other local parochial schools and gives our students an academic advantage that will support success in high school, college, and beyond.

I am very happy with the education my children have received at Holy Ghost. My daughter is entering high school in all honors courses and even an AP class as a freshman. The school has offered a well-rounded education with cutting edge Technology (iPads and a news media center), athletics (even offering cheerleading and track), and even extracurricular things like chess and Lego clubs, and theatre. The new principal has really shaken things up and I am impressed by her knowledge and the direction she is taking the school.. Most importantly , my children have learned what good judgement is and have received a good foundation for their future.

I graduated from here a few years ago. I was very well prepared academically, but I know other students from my graduating class that were not. I freshmen and sophomore year have taken all honors classes and passed all with flying colors. I felt almost teachers got me excited to learn, which is why I like school to this day. However, there were several cases of bullying that I am not proud of how they were handled. They sought for a immediate fix as apposed to a long term fix. If you didn't fit in you could fell very left out and sometimes had a hard social life. I do not know how the new principle handles these issues, but hopefully change will come.

My son is thriving in the early childhood program. The older students are well behaved and considerate. The parents have nothing but good things to say when their students graduate from 8th grade.

My son recently graduated from this school, and when entering high school had to take entrance exams to place him in the appropriate classes. He placed in all honor classes, which I attitribute to Holy Ghost. Their small class room sizes, and teaching abilities at the school gave him a magnificient education. I still have a son at this school, who actually enjoys going to school. There are several activities for the kids to participate in, and even a wonderful after school program. The leadership, in my opinion - takes action immediately whenever a problem arises, and provides a solid action plan for any future problems.

As a parent of 2 graduates, I look at how prepared they were for high school and how Holy Ghost did at teaching the Catholic Faith. My children have a deep belief in their faith that was foster by a principal and teacher's that lived their faith. Academically, I was told by the teacher's at Fenton they can always tell a Holy Ghost student by their excellent writing skills. Drawbacks - small class sizes, which if youf child does not fit in can make things unhappy for your child,. Although there are a number of activities, if they are not sport-minded they can also feel left out. Bullying does happen, and if your child doesn't fit in, they are sometimes not believed.

As a grandparent of 2 children that attend Holy Ghost School, I have seen the advanced school work, the innovative projects, the connections of teachers to parents and the closeness that comes from small class sizes. I feel that Holy Ghost has been a great experience for my grand children and has opend their eyes to numerous opportunities that larger schools might not offer. The school brings all the families close together. It keeps the students and families active in the school and offers a religous background that carries through life. Great school!

My grandchildren are thriving at Holy Ghost School because it's a small school with small class sizes resulting in a lot of one-on-one time with teachers. Because this school is small, it only takes one or two unhappy parents to try and tilt Holy Ghost's practical education and religious balance to the negative and it's my obligation to say otherwise. The school involves the parents and grand parents in all it's activities and I couldn't be happier with the knowledge that my grand kid's future looks bright resulting from their attendance. Plane

We chose Holy Ghost School Catholic education for our family because we wanted more for our children than just academics. The small class sizes were also considered in our decision. This means our children can receive personal attention if needed. We are grateful to be part of a school where the faculty and families have shown such love and kindness. We enjoy watching our children grow in their faith. Our kids have wonderful teachers that challenge behaviors in a loving, caring environment. The challenging curriculum provides a solid foundation for our children s future.

I worked in public schools for 10 years before coming to Holy Ghost School. I left the public school system because teacher creativity was no longer appreciated. Teachers were not encouraged to raise the bar but to blend in with the rest of the crowd. I didn't feel as if I was able to provide the quality of education that my students needed. Parents were unable to be partners in their child's education as teachers were not supposed to give out too much information. At Holy Ghost School, I have been encouraged to teach through creative and innovative ways. I can teach auditory, visual and kinesthetic lessons as well as effectively differentiate activities to meet the needs of ALL learners. Parents are encouraged to be involved in their child's education. The staff collaborates well and is supportive of each other. I have found Holy Ghost School to be a great place to work. It is a warm and caring community!

My Godchild has witnessed the bullying that has gone on. It is a shame that the school tolerates this.
